Prayers and good wishes and warm healing energies and hugs and purrs and lovies from us all,
:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
Thank you for the candle, Elyse, and for your prayers everyone! :) She's doing a little better today, still peeing blood, but according to my vet, this is normal after such a surgery. She's sleeping a lot, but is slowly getting back to her old, affectionate self. :love:
Now I'm waiting for the biospy results ...
More prayers coming... :love::love::love::love::love::love:
Thank you, Pat! :)
Well, I got the biopsy results today: no tumor cells, but a lot of inflammation in her bladder tissue. So, it's feline idiopathic cystitis, according to my vet.
That's wonderful, no tumor cells! And the feline idiopathic cystitis can be treated, I trust?
More prayers and good wishes and healing energies are coming for you all!
I am having back surgery on Monday. I'm not sure how soon after I'll be back on line. But I am keeping all the good energies going.
:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
Good news. :love:
Yes, I'm so relieved there were no tumor cells! For a couple of days, I was sure I was going to lose her!! :eek:
As for the treatment: From what I've read, it's difficult to treat because an idiopathic cystistis does not respond to antibiotics (which would explain why the treatment she got in August wasn't working). So far, the Melosus (pain med) seems to help, it has an anti-anti-inflammatory effect as well. As this kind of cystitis is often stress-related, I'm also using a Feliway plugin. I also got Bach flower remedies individually composed for her jealousy issues. She loves them, btw. Look how she's drinking them right from the dropper: :)

Pat, sending you best wishes for your surgery!! Hope you'll have a speedy recovery!!
Oscar had this same kind of UTI - the cause was stress (Cole had arrived in my household lately). There were hardly any crystals, but blood in his urine! We got him cleared up and he was on a Feliway collar for a long time. I made one from a regular stretchy collar and would gently squirt Feliway into it twice a day.
It's been a few years now and all three are well without the collars or Feliway.
I am glad Lily will be with you for a long time yet! :D:love::love:
I've had cats with this. Cosequin (glucosamine, chondroitin and maybe CoQ10)? supplements seem to work well.
best of luck with Lily's treatment. Hopefully if she can be kept pain free she'll be her old self again.
