I posted to her FB that she's got a lot of prayers over here, so I know that as soon as she is able to, she will come check in. I know she loves the PT community. She's still in the hospital as far as I know. The last I knew they were running more tests. This is the update from her daughter (Rie, I believe) yesterday:
Laura's such a wonderful woman, she sure doesn't deserve all of the ailments she's had over the past year. More prayers are being said from Phoenix.Quote:
Dr said they are calling in a surgeon to take a look at her and probably do another CT scan. She doesn't think it's her appendix but they could see it on the CT scan they did Sun. night. Why the appendix, the extreme pain she has in her abdomen and back. Part of it is from all the mess that's been going on with her stomach, but they want to cover all the bases.
Just saw this and hope that LB is on the road to recovery.
being ill sucks.
Prayers and healing purrs for Laura.
Oh my gosh...I hope it's at least the appendix and NOT C Dif.
I hope and pray that the treatment is successful and may even clear up her previous ailment a lot. She might have had a "grumbling appendix" for some time.
HUGS and prayers to you, Laura!:love::love:
I hope "her guys" on the boat are aware of this.
Just saw this - haven't been on much, sorry!
Prayers from Ellicott City, Laura - get well!!
Positive thoughts coming from Cincinnati!

Oh my what an ordeal. Will definitely keep good thoughts and prayers for her.
Here is Laura's most recent FB status update:
I know she is pretty wiped out from everything she's been through, but also know she'll come check in as soon as she's able.Quote:
HOME! Finally! I am still really tired & weak. Still confused as to how things went downhille so fast but St. Elizabeth Hospital really pulled me through. That's are great bunch over there!!
Thanks to all you for your kind words and prayers. I am just totally drained and wiped out. My biggest problem was my BP and how low it was. That is why they put me in ICU but when your BP is as low as mine was it is like you are in another world and things are not real. I had some great hallucinations, though, there was a lot of confusion (still is)... I still haven't pieced it all together yet.
What I HAVE pieced together so far is all this was brought on my all those antibiotics I have taken in this last years trying to get better and save my job, instead, it has almost cost me my life! Marie and I both are convinced if she had not came back that day to check on me, I'd been dead by the next day. I still wonder if I am out of those wood yet or not?
I am still so weak I can't walk up to the dumpster. I do a few minor things here and have to stop and rest... I have never been this weak before..
As far as I know, the guys on the boat are not aware of this, I looked and thr boat is in a bad place for cell reception anyway..
Glad you are back home. Take care and get better!
Oh gosh those antibiotics! I hope your doc gets you on a probiotic and or some acidophilus/bifidus caps. Or just get your favourite yogurt and enjoy.
Do you have someone checking on you regularly?
HUGS and wishing you more strength soon.:love:
