My comment though was not about the people who consume the news, Pomtzu, rather it was about the obsessive news coverage of the Royal family in the States, when the same issues are not covered in such depth here.

Well again - I think it all goes back to satisfy those that are in to the pomp and circumstance. The media is just giving all those hungry people a lot to feast on - and of course boosting their ratings at the same time. Who really knows tho. Different cultures, different societies, different ways of thinking, and different priorities. Thank goodness all this happens only once in a blue moon! ;)Quote:
