mmm I LOVE pumpkin pie!! I just got my grandma's recipe from my mom, and I rushed right out and got all the ingredients for it!! I am going to make it and then freeze it so I have one on hand :D If someone wants that recipe, PM me. It's really good.. I had it years ago but I still remember it!!
i scared my friends by doing this at a slumber party.it may come in handy for you.me and 2 other friends who were sleeping over were asleep in one room,or i was trying to sleep anyway.in the next room,some of my other friends were talking about pouring toothpaste on us.i wanted to get back at them,so i snuck into the hallway.they couldn't see me because all of the lights were off and theyr flashlight was hidden between them.i noticed the closet was open,so i hid in there.2 of my friends got really scared because they thought there was an ax murderer in the closet,so they made my other friend close the closet door,which i opened a few seconds later.after that,they were all really scared,and they would've screamed,but they didnt want to wake my parents,so they told my friend to close the door again.she went over cautiously,and i couldnt help bursting out laughing,so they found me out.this is a good trick because it is scary,but it isnt mean,like pouring toothepaste on someone in their sleep!:^)
oh I just remembered another scary movie... Hell night, with Linda Blair, THATS scary!

Here is the recipe for Pumpkin Pie:
one 10-inch pie shell, unbaked
1 tablespoon butter, melted
2 plus cups pumpkin, cooked
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 to 2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 to 2 teaspoons ground ginger (some like more, some like less...I usually use 2tsp)
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (I use 1/2)
1/4 teaspoon cloves (optional)
1/4 teaspoon allspice (optional)
2 ounces dark molasses (optional)
1 cup milk, scaled
1 small can (5 ounces) evaporated milk
3 eggs, beaten
Brush the pie shell with melted butter then refrigerate.
Cook the pumpkin, brown sugar, salt, spices, and molasses in a saucepan over moderate heat until thick, about 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in the two kinds of milk and the eggs, and cook over low heat for another 5 minutes. Pour into a pie shell, and bake for 15 minutes at 425 degrees F, and then at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.

I was so turned on by the recipes for pumpkin soup, I decided to start a Pet Talk recipe collection in Word that I'll update when I get new ones. I cut and paste the recipes, and put from whom and where they're from (if they tell us.) So far I have your two soups recipes Miss Meow (from Australia, right?) and your Pumpkin pie, Wolflady in San Fran (where I went to high school - Galilieo Lions!)
As for last minute suggestions:
What have you decided so far? Makes it easier to think of something different. Wish I was going - sounds like soooooooo much fun! I may have to talk to some of my friends about doing a new twist on Girls Nite Out - Rent a couple of rooms or a suite and do a "Girl's Nite IN.

Hey, what about ghoulish props that you can leave around - like float an "eyeball" in the toilet, or put a "head" in the refrigerator? "Hands" and dead rats always have places to be - hehehe. Got any taped sound effects (chains, creaks, groans, etc. - actually scarier than screams, as you provide your own hehe) that could go off at unexpected times? Cackel cackle. Or give each other beauty treatments using really ugly stuff - like avocado masks, or oatmeal/yogurt face scrubs? Bet you could find some recipes, or actually, I had some in an old natural beauty book somewhere. Miss the goop up and have it around as a visual gross out! See, the closer it gets, the weirder I get!

The first movie I thought of was Poltergiest. Truly creepy. It's one of my favorite scary movies because it's scary without being gory. And yes, I have hated clowns ever since that movie. Clowns freak me out.
I can't believe no one said Rocky Horror! Not that it's scary...just *unique*! It just seems like the typical Halloween movie.
How about Amityville? I think that's how you spell it. What makes it really creepy is that it's suppossedly based on a true story. I don't know what was wrong with those people...if a house told me to "GET OUT!" I sure as heck would. *bye bye!"
I hate gory scary movies. Of course its scary if someones going around killing people. I find the good scary movies or even documentaries are those on hauntings or ghosts.
As far as recipes..I can't cook(actually it's more like won't :) )I can only bake two things well from scratch...chocolate chip cookies and brownies. Since you want something easy to put together, I don't reccommend making either of those from scratch but buy premade and toss in the oven.
