Thank you Grace! I had missed the Palin interview with Couric...am so glad you posted it. THAT should be required viewing!
From now on my answer to any mildly challenging question will be "let me get back to you on that!"
Oh my! "Well my friend...let me get back to you on that!"
Love it.

Her questions were more convoluted than my large intestine after an evening of cool ranch Doritos, tequila and that real hot sauce I like.
Couric has about as much political saavy as one of my cat's nail clippings. Someone threw her this 'bone' of an interview and she ran with it.
Right into a wall.
Give Katie back her old job of interviewing 'stars' and asking about where people shop. Otherwise she's just a seat warmer.
Naw, this one is much funnier.:D

Awwww, come on.
Biden prefaces his own ignorance by saying "part of what a leader does is to instill confidence, to demonstrate he or she knows what they are talking about"
Then he 'demonstrates' for us by not knowing who the President was at the time of the '29 crash, and that he couldn't have possibly 'gone on TV'
That is CLASSIC!!!!

Palin was just trying to pad her resume. Just like every other resume or bio I've ever seen, from anybody about anything. It didn't strike me as funny, just weak.
Well, in the entertainment industry resumes are padded routinely.
"performed extensively abroad/ worldwide" can mean worked on a cruise ship.
I know that's not the 'day job' resumes that you are looking at. However, they are out there and how do you define lying vs padding? And how do you confirm it, in my example?
I agree that Sarah Palin shouldn't make it sound as if she has experience that she doesn't have. The question is, why would she think she has to do this when Obama has no real experience either.
I define padding as lying. I did not know that telling the truth is so nuanced.
Why would she think she has to tell the truth? What an interesting...and sad...comment. Your rationale for her lying is..."because Obama has no real experience it is okay for her to lie." Wow.
