I keep checking in looking for better news. Prayers continuing.

I've been reluctant to post because Snoopy has always been one of my favorites of your gang. He's such a little love and I hate that he keeps feeling like this. It's just not fair:(
Lots of prayers headed your way.

Kimmy, Snoopy is about the same today although without me home he has been sleeping more and not whining as much.
Snoopy got a reprieve tonight. The vet is not ready to give up on him and has come up with another plan to help him rather then say there is nothing else to go and maybe it is time. When I talked to the vet tonight, she had some other thoughts about Snoopy - good news as far as I am concerned. She thinks maybe the seizure has caused some vision problems for Snoopy which is why he is walking into things, tripping over things. And that the whining could be from separation anxiety which I had not even thought of but should have because Snoopy won't even let me out the door now. He fights to get out the door ahead of me and has won a couple of times. He doesn't run away because he can't leave me behind although tonight he ran across the street without looking (you'd think these kids would remember their lessons) And his worst whining fits are when I am not with him. So she is going to do some more research (boy, has Snoopy been keeping her busy on the computer) on separation drugs since we don't want to add to his problems by giving him something else that could cause seizures, hurt his liver, etc. She is also going to look into adding another anti-seizure that is 20% digested through the liver but hopefully will stop some of these more frequent seizures.
Jack seems to be doing better also. Hopefully it is just some kind of infection he has and he will stop having the accidents. I forgot to see if she has come up with a drug for his possible senility. Boy, am I keeping her busy!!!
So keep those prayers coming. They seem to be working!!!!

Sounds like you have a great vet there. Glad to hear that she is thinking outside the box to find new treatments that could help Snoopy. Prayers continuing.

I am very blessed with the vets I have! Dr. Freeman bought the practice about 2 years ago and he has just been wonderful with Snoopy. Dr. James joined his practice about a year ago and she too is wonderful. Dr. Freeman had been handling Snoopy up until Snoopy had to go to Columbus (he sent us) but he had to go to a conference for a week so Dr. James took over. Now we see whoever is available. They keep each other up to date on what's going on and discuss possible plans. I feel very comfortable with both of them with concerns to Snoopy (and the other dogs) so I can't loose no matter who I end up talking to.
Not to dis the vet whom Dr. Freeman bought the practice from but I don't think she would have been as open to trying other things and Snoopy probably wouldn't be alive now. I could be totally wrong about her but just watching the difference in how new vets handle the routine appointments to the way she did that is what I think.
