I think our best bet would to be to stay at the KOA since we have a pop-up trailer camper. Also, we're going to be staying for almost a week, so I will *need* atleast a shower or two.

So jealous over here :o. Have fun everyone, i will eagerly wait for photos of the event/s.
Just thought that I would bump this up.
I confirmed with my coworkers that I'm the only one asking for time off around this date, and my paid time off has been approved. I managed to get some extra cash, so I'll be there for sure. :D
Yay! :DQuote:

We can compete for the Golden Mutt award as a dog pack! :) To register online or before the event (pre-registration is $5 cheaper) go here http://www.utahpets.org/strut.html Set up a fundraising page too, its fun, here's mine http://www.active.com/donate/sym07/nebokeva2007
p.s. You do not have to fundraise to go to the event, everyone is welcome in our dog pack reguardless if they are planning to raise money or not. :)
To anyone camping~~I keep thinking about this, and I really don't know of the best place to stay. I'm going to leave it up to everyone else, but I'm happy to help any way that I can. I don't really have any more info than what is available on the internet. There are two KOA's (with showers) nearby, one is in Provo (closer to me) and one is in Salt Lake City (closer to Strut Your Mutt). The one in Salt Lake City is probably nicer, I haven't been there though. You *can* reserve KOA spots. You can't reserve the camping in the canyons until after memorial day. They have water and toilets, that's it, but a much prettier location. Whatever everyone chooses is fine with me, even if we are at different locations we can all meet up to go to SYM/hiking/etc. :)
Okay, so where is everyone camping? We decided on Utah Lake State Park. They seem to be very dog friendly, they are allowed on trails, beaches, etc. No additional fee, $18 a night.

Utah Lake State Park looks nice, plus it's on the way for me to Salt Lake City. When is everyone arriving? I have to find a sub to teach my Friday lessons- if I can, then I will probably get there Friday afternoon (the day before Strut your Mutt).
I'm going to try and get there that Thursday, but I'm not 100% sure what time I'll be arriving. I'll probably just leave early morning from here and get there between 3-4pm.
I registered for the event and wrote in Pet Talk as the pack. :)
I've never been to Utah Lake State Park. :o I've been to Utah Lake, but just various areas....though I do remember my mom mentioning that campground a while ago, I was going to check it out but I forgot. It looks nice though, good choice Kay.
I think we'll all be arriving around the 17th. Does everyone have a cell phone? We'll have to make a phone number list and pm it so we can all find eachother. I don't have a cell phone, but I think Kay does, and I may be able to steal my parents phone. I'm sure driving around the campground we'll find eachother too, just look for the dogs, they're all easy to recognize. :)
Yeah, anyone who wants to give me their number/wants my number, PM me. I just got a cellphone so I could use it on the trip. :)
To those who want to meet up (Vela, Dab_20, anyone else..) but can't go to Strut Your Mutt lets plan on meeting at the pond at Sugarhouse Park at 12:30. Does that sound ok? I was thinking maybe we could have lunch too, I'm not sure how to work that. Maybe I could leave a cooler in my car with some stuff for sandwiches. Any ideas?
I may be coming to strutt your mutt now. My mom and aunt are trying to convince me to go, it would just be a great time and probably be good socialization for Molli. She's a very nervous dog around a lot of dogs and people, so now I'm nervous as to how she'll react! She's always great around people we meet on our walks but I honestly don't know how she'll be there. If anyone would like my cell phone number, please pm me. :)
Amy, maybe we could divide what we should bring between a few people? Maybe one person brings sandwhiches, one soda, and one person chips/snacks? We could always bring a few blankets to sit on our something.
That's great, I hope you come! :) Nebo doesn't always get along well with other dogs, and Keva has never been to anything like this so I'm not sure how well my two will be either, so you're not the only one. ;) At least you can pick up Molly and hold her if you need to.
That would be great if we could divide up lunch items. I think there's some nice picnic areas with shade too. I'm not 100% sure there's tables, I can't remember, so bringing some blankets would be a good idea.
Well, I suppose we just hope for the best.Quote:
