Both!!! We get the official one by mail: for the rear side of the car. We then have to have another one made for the front side :)

Both. I always wondered why some places only have rear. If someone's gonna hits you, you usually don't see the back of the car untill it's too late. :p

Yup, he sits on the left side of the plate.

Both in WI. Gotta tag the front plate when you run a light.

There are some kind of hologram on licence plates to show they are authentic. It reflects w/ light, apparently. (Helps distiguish from fraudulent plates.)

Kansas has rear only.

Both in Colorado, and in Iowa too.
