I always thought your name was Dorothy, :p.Quote:

I do some times get car-ee.
When I was in school I on occasion was called Carl by substitute teachers because they thought the i at the end of my name was an l, they read "Karl" instead or "Kari".
Mine isn't mis-pronounced very often :) . In English it's pronounced Mich-elle.
In french it's more of a mee-shelle.
Oh, I get it. I thought you were making a joke.Quote:

Mine is easy enough, Craig. Pronounced just like it is spelled. Whenever someome takes my name for a reservation or something I have to say "Craig, with a C, not Greg." People also spell it Kreg a lot and I have no clue where that comes from.
The one that use to drive me bonkers is my last name: Mayer pronounced May-or, not My-er. Now I just respond to either because it happens all the time. Even close friends still say Meyer. I blame Oscar Mayer Weiner for the entire mispronunciation. And yes, school was a blast; I know every version of the Oscar Meyer songs.
how´s this
ETA: haha it worked!!! (took me a while but it worked)
LOL! I just noticed you are Canadian - my grandparents were French-Canadian, the "St." is part of a French name (I'll pm it to you)Quote:

People constantly make it seem like a hard work. Bree-anna is mostly what they call me. It doesn't drive me crazy. But when I do correct them, and they still call me Bree-anna that kind of gets on my nerves. If they have such a problem saying it, I just tell them to call me Bre. Otherwise, through all of that pain, I love my name because it's not too common.
It doesn't work for me :(Quote:
