A friend of mine died today.

I know Jason is at peace now, he hasn't been well for the last two years. I think he's spent as much time in the hospital as he had at home. His pain and suffering is now over.

I'm so very sorry! I was in tears when I read this. :( I cant even begin to imagine the pain of loosing a child. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts. His funeral will be on Friday, it will be in Texas because that's where they grew up and that is where he wished to be burried. And as he wished he will also be burried with his newest baseball cap as Jason just wasn't Jason if he wasn't wearing a cap.

David da cat will be well taken care of, it hasn't been decided yet if he will stay with Jason's mom, the problem is that David does not like Tracy (his mom's cat). He might also go to live with Jason's older sister who lost her kitty last October to cancer.

Rest in Peace, Jason.

Oh I am so saddened by this news. I can not imagine such a loss twice in a year. I am praying that they can bring their sorrows to the Lord and let Him lift their spirits up as well as Jasons soul. Rest in peace, Jason. May the Lord bring comfort to his sister, mom, and kitty. As well as his friends and loved ones. God bless you all.

To lose a child is very, very painful - I will be praying for his family and you as well. Losing a friend is not easy either especially one as special as Jason sounds.

Laura, he sounds like a very special man. I know he was proud to call you his friend. How heartwarming that the nurse enabled having David with him that last night.

Laura, what a sad time for you and his family. I lost two immediate family members within 6 months of each other so I know a little what they are going through. Life can be harsh sometimes but the good times and memories do help a little.

It was nice that the nurse allowed David to spend time with Jason. :)

How tragic. :( But what wonderful hospital staff to allow the kitty in to be with his human for his last few hours.
