Well, there are definitely dog parks we could meet at. I think I listed three that I know of already...one in Plano (really close to me), one in Fort Worth (the farthest from me, but, I can still do that one), and, one in Dallas. If we could go on a Friday or Monday morning (whichever day is included in your three day weekend), it would be a lot less crowded! ;) The Dallas one is the smallest. I think the Fort Worth one is the largest.Quote:

Lots of trails, creeks they can cool off in, etc. David has been going there for awhile and has never had any problems, and, we didn't the two times we've been. It's a nice place to go walking, very relaxing. It is also in Plano.
I just sent a private message to each of the people who have shown an interest in attending a DFW meeting. So, hopefully, we can get something together! :)
I would really want to go but my mom is taking summer classes at the local college, so she can't come. I'm sure she would want to be present when I'm meeting people from the internet (not that you all are bad, but she would just like to be there) So I can't go :( Sorry
Hey, that's understandable. Thanks for letting us know! Maybe next time! You let us know when your mom is available and maybe we can work around her schedule for a small meeting in the future!Quote:

Just to reiterate, I would love to do either or both a Texas and/or a Louisiana meet! :D

We're just trying to find out what weekends other people can join us!Quote:

I'd like to do this, this sounds like fun :)
Yay! Can't wait! Looks like we'll be doing it on a Sunday, then. :) Not this weekend obviously, but, maybe next?Quote:

So, if we can't do it on the 18th, I'd have to wait til the first Sunday in July. Does anyone have any preferences on which park? I personally like the idea of Plano, just because it's a nice, big fenced in dog park, and, there's also the open range area that you can take dogs off leash. (And, it's close to my house, too.) ;) I'm up for any of the dog parks, though.
Yes we can do it! Which dog park and I'll mapquest it. It'll have to be after Boones class, his class is 9-10am...it'll take us about 3 hours to get there to Dallas, as his class is in Lawton, OK, which is north of Dallas. We can meet there at around 1 or so. That sound good? It sounds fun :D Oh how exciting! This will be Boones first dogpark :D
It might be even quicker to get to the Plano parks from there, we are north of everything, just about. ;) I think one sounds fine! I will personally send messages now to lvpets2002 to see if she can make it. It may only be the three of us, or maybe Wenisrubber sans dog. ;) But, would that be all right with you if it's just small meeting?Quote:

There are places we can boat out to where the dogs can play in the water and on the land, completely off leash. So, if we're really on for Sunday (still waiting to hear from a couple people :) ), we can possibly even grill some burgers or hot dogs or something at the house (David has said he'd man the grill for us!). We have a fenced in backyard (not huge, but, not tiny, either). And, the park and the open range area are within minutes. I think I said that already, sorry. :) Can't wait to hear if you guys can come Sunday!
