I majored in psychology with a minor in gerontology
I have a B.S. in psychology with a minor in sociology. Not sure what exactly I want to do yet, but I was excepted into a really good MA program for professional counseling, so I am considering that.

I had was an english major, with a focus of book publishing. I finished that major, and decided that I would never, ever do anything with it. Basically, you sit at a desk all day, pushing a pencil and correcting grammar and spelling errors. While it might be for some people, it just isn't for me.
Then, I took a couple of courses in Phlebotomy (drawing blood), took an internship and loved it. I got a job working at a local hospital and hated it. I was put on the emergency room with basically no special training (that is *very* different than a lab setting) and quit 3 weeks later.
Now, I have a job managing a small copy shop -- I do use some training I got from my publishing major, but for the most part not. I love, love, love my job, and can definitely see myself doing this 5, 10, 25, 50 years down the road. It's very diverse -- everyday is different. It's creative, and rarely is it boring.
I took the Police Foundations Program... a 2yr old could have passed that course  Not a good program at the college I went to.. its suppose to be hard, & nop open book to the point of being told which page & which paragraph to copy down :(
I got a B.S. in business administration with a minor in MIS. I work with mainframe computers now, probably sounds boring to the younger crowd but I enjoy it.
I'm going to study veterinary science and medicine:) . Hopefully I'll make it to Cambridge or the Royal Veterinary College in London. It's a 5-6 year course but I'm prepared for the commitment!!!
I've been thinking a lot about this lately, and I'm almost completely conviced that I'm gonna study graphic desing. I'm sure that I will study photography too!
I know i want to take some bird behavior courses,I think I want to manage a petco,or vet tech
 SSHH Lut & dont tell everyone how LONGGGGGGGGGGG ago it was & they will think we are so Young :DQuote:

I still have a good amount of time to college but I have already prepared for it. I am going to go to Texas A & M in College Station, near Houston. It is the only vet school in Texas so that is where I will be going. I don't know if I want to be a specialist in one particular thing (ie: specialty in farm animals, reptiles etc). Still got a lot of planning to do.
:) Hurray another Texas PT'r = Yes very much know where Texas A & M is.. You go go & get that Vet Degree..Quote:
