Today I went to the movies to see "Rush Hour 3". I have never seen any of the movies but I loved this one. It was absolutely hilarious. Very funny, I was laughing through the whole film! I really need to see the other 2. :D

Yep you kinda summed it up well how i felt about wild hogs too, i feel alseep half way through to be honest, but i was tired. lol :)
I bought and watched Major Payne & Clueless a couple of days ago... love both of them.
We've been watching a lot of movies lately after going years without watching many. Just some we've seen in the past month are The Queen, Night at the Museum, Norbit, Shooter, Zodiac, The Departed, Dead Silence, 300, Epic Movie, Hot Fuzz and The Illusionist. I finally saw Talladega Nights and really laughed.
I've seem parts of several movies and hope to catch the rest some other time, especially Premonition and The Astronaut's Wife.
Lori premonition is a bit confusing but a good movie in my opinion, but then i am such a sandra bullock fan, she can do no wrong lol, but i think most people would enjoy it.
I saw Norbit in the weekend, it was ok, funny in places, but then i am not easily entertained, average movie really i thought.
Apparently perfect strangers is a good movie, so must hire it out soon.
I just hired 5 weeklies for $5 woohoo.
Saw II
The Seed of Chucky
Pretty in Pink
Prozac Nation &
Snakes on a Plane
Hmm now what to watch first.
We rented Hot Fuzz, 300 & Vacancy...all were very good.
Hubby and I are currently watching movies practically every night. From Lori's list, we have also watched Queen, Shooter, Zodiac, and The Illusionist. Shooter has made me a Mark Walhberg fan - that movie was sooo good and is not even my type of movie. Similar to Illusionist - we watched The Prestige and found it so intriguing that I bought a copy to watch again and try to figure out some of the twists and turns!. Premonition was fantastic - I still find myself thinking about that movie and trying to figure out some of the things that happened and I *think* I have it :)Quote:

In the previews I saw two movie coming out with my all time favorites, Tommy Lee Jone and *Denzel Washington* :D The titles are In the Valley of Elah (jones) and American Gangster (Denzel and also Russell Crowe) Today, The Brave One with Jodie Foster comes out - I wonder if I can persuade hubby to go to the theater again?
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE movies!!
edit: did go see The Brave One this evening and I thought it was terrific!! It grabbed my attention and held it to the very end. I found myself very drawn in to the story. Again, this one was filmed with interesting camera angles - some very close and sometimes with the camera vantage seeming to draw back and upwards to give the movie more of a feeling of actually watching the story unfold. Jodie Foster was so believable in the role!
So far i have watched....
Saw II, good movie but kind of freaky. I watched it by myself Friday night, then again with friends on Sunday morning.
Pretty in pink, i usually love John Hughes movie but was not that impressed with PIP.
Snakes on a plane, i have seen it many times before and it still makes me laugh.
Seed of Chucky, i was a bit out of it whilst watching it Saturday morning, but thought it was boring... they seemed so much scarier when we were kids.
3:10 to Yuma was fantastic. I love both Christian Bale and Russell Crowe, I'm a big fan of Westerns. This movie was great in every way. Great action, sweeping cinematography, phenomenal acting, great heart, I loved it!
I've watched the Producers (with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick) and Chicago in the last week, I love them both!
I watched "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" tonight.
gotta love Will Ferrell LOL :D
Lori i thought you would enjoy premonition, yeah i am not sure if i have got yet, i think so,but it sure makes you think about the movie again and again, sandra bullock was great as usual.
Saw TURISTA on dvd, well what can i say, pretty gruesome, but good in some parts, kinda ended too abruptly was waiting for more to happen, and PERFECT STRANGERS, liked this movie, nice little twist to it.
Anyone seen butterfly effect 2, i saw the first one and liked it and am thinking of hiring it out soon.?your opinions appreciated.
I didn't even know there was a # 2 . I love the first one, one of my favourite movies.Quote:

Finally saw "Rush Hour" and "Rush Hour 2" in the last couple of days! Loved them both, those movies are hilarious LOL. :p
We saw The Brave One this afternoon - really enjoyed it. Jodie Foster is a magnificent actress. Some of the others you have mentioned are on our 'to-see' list.Quote:

Just got home from seeing Michael Clayton. I give it http://bestsmileys.com/thumbs/7.gif http://bestsmileys.com/thumbs/7.gif
I recently saw 3:10 to Yuma, Heartbreak Kid and Good Luck Chuck.
I loved all of them! 3:10 to Yuma was very well done. I H-A-T-E westerns but I was really into this movie.
Heartbreak Kid and Good Luck Chuck were both hillarious.. if you see Good Luck Chuck, wait for the credits.. they have some extras in there. It was the best part! *snickers*
He he he he he he!! Just watched Evan Almighty!! Ha ha ha ha ha!! Loved it!! Especially the stuff in the Credits, too hilarious!!:D
In the past couple of weeks i have watched (& bought)....
Even Cowgirls Get the Blues.. it was interesting, typical Gus Van Sant movie LOL.
I Love you to Death, i loved it. I adore Kevin Klein and River Phoenix & thought it was a 'cute' movie.
Life as a House, another Kevin Klein movie and another of my all time favourites. Makes me cry every time.
Another Tuesday ($3 for seniors), another movie. Today was Elizabeth: The Golden Years.
Cate Blanchett is superb; Clive Owen is gorgeous. And it makes me want to read some English history.
I love cate, she is an awesome actress, and clive is good too.
I saw The Comebacks a few days ago. I liked it but it's definitely one of those movies you have to be in the mood for. It's one of those ridiculously-stupid-yet-highly-entertaining movies.
Yesterday, another $3 Tuesday movie.
Dan In Real Life with Steve Carrell.
We both enjoyed this one - nothing world shattering, just a fun movie with great Rhode Island scenery.Quote:
Love strikes in the worst-possible circumstances for widower, single dad and popular family advice columnist Dan Burns when he falls for a beautiful stranger in a bookshop – only to discover she’s the very same woman his charismatic brother is about to introduce as his incredible new girlfriend at their parents' annual get-together. As the weekend gets underway, Dan and Marie scramble to hide their mutual attraction to each other, resulting in a series of hilariously awkward situations.
I won a double pass to a vip movie premiere, held at our le grand hotel, it was great, had the vip treatment, champers, canapes, of which i had none, but hubby enjoyed the canapes, and a free magnum, now to the movie, it was a french film with sub titles which i usually hate, but this movie was great, enjoyed it throughly, can highly recommend, the name of the movie is PRICELESS starring audrey tatou, think i got that right, she is one beautiful lady.
Halloween 1 and 2
Watched 1408 last night. Two thumbs up, loved it! Very creepy.
Thanks for that review, i just got some cheap tickets to 1408 for my daughter, she loves horror and creepy movies, so good to hear it is good, saw the shorts at the movie premonition, it looked good and too scarey for little ole me. :)
I watched 1408, Mr.Brooks, and Hostel II over the past couple of weeks...I thought all three were pretty good. I bought Babel and The Last King Of Scotland, so I will be watching those soon. I have had Blood Diamond since it came out on DVD, and I still haven't watched it, so I hope to soon!
My sister said The last king of scotland was quite gruesome, so be prepared, but i think she said it was a good film too. :)
I bought The Butterfly Effect 1 & 2, i love number 1 but number 2 sucked:(.
Aww thats a shame, i loved butterfly effect one as well, was hoping to hire out the other one, often the sequels are not good eh? pity about that was looking forward to seeing it, might not bother now.
We watched The Departed on HBO Sunday afternoon. Several people have commented on this movie in earlier posts. It lived up to the descriptions - violence, language - but it was really good. I'm glad I saw it at home instead of the theater. It's long, and my bladder is small http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...th/shuffle.gif
I watched Transformers, wild hogs and 1408 over the past few weeks.
Is anyone else looking forward to seeing "I am legend?"..I can't wait!
OH MY GOSH. I am really excited about seeing this movie. I hadn't even heard of it until a couple nights ago. It looks fantastic, Will Smith is a wonderful actor.Quote:

I know this isn't a "movie", but Band of Brothers is absolutely a must see. Even if you're not necesssarily a fan of war films, this is a stand out among war films. It really is beautifully done, and is about real people in real situations, which makes it all the more touching. It really makes me feel proud to be an American and in complete awe and admiration of the men who fought in World War II. It is a mini-series that was on HBO a few years ago (maybe 2001) and is definitely something I plan to watch many times.
On a lighter note, I saw Surf's Up and it is great fun! I am planning to buy the soundtrack first, as it is really upbeat and makes me smile. :D
"Meet the Fockers"
I bought so many movies on Black Friday lol..hey who can beat $2.88? ;)
I bought:
pursuit of happiness
stomp the yard
the holiday
bedazzled
drumline
scooby doo (which will probably be going to my neice)
the Da Vinci code
devil wears prada
hills have eyes
the omen
and theres a few more i'm sure. I've only watched one so far.
We saw Enchanted this afternoon. It is delightful!! Suitable for kids from 5 to 95.
I saw that movie on Saturday, and I really enjoyed it. Love the ending. ;)Quote:
