I am about to go and see "Shrek the Third" with Jenna(I_luv_rusty) and my neighbor, Kathleen. I am not that excited since the reviews weren't that great but what do critics know? I will fill you in when I get back. ;)

Going to see Blades of Glory this wednesday at our new cinema that has just opened, it is a free pre screening, so will let you know what the movie is like.
I had a good time watching Shrek 3. It was very funny. We were all laughing through the entire movie. Cute family movie, and I enjoyed it. Nothing to write home about, but it was well done. Forgot to mention that THEY didn't ruin Shrek with any of the sequels. :)
OK now onto the important stuff. I AM GOING ON FRIDAY to see POTC 3, since I have school off and it starts at 3:15 here, so as of now I'm going with like 4 people. Maybe more!! I AM SO EXCITED!
Enjoyed Blades of Glory, a light hearted comedy, bit over the top in places, but enjoyable entertainment, just what i needed right now, judging by the audience it was well liked, the new cinema was great too, much bigger seats and great sound,if you want a bit of a laugh go along and see it.
Right now I am watching the first Spiderman:D
Anybody seen previews of the new movie "Bug" ? It's not out till th 25th
but looks like it would scare the begeebers of of me. I might just have
to see this one. :D
I have just recently seen Love Actually and I am hooked. I have watched it three times so far since my first viewing of it about a month ago. It is one of the best romantic comedies I have ever seen. Just gets me all warm and fuzzy. It's cheesy in parts, but love is cheesy sometimes. :D I recommend it to anyone, it's got enough of humor in it even for the men.
There's a scene where a guy tells the girl to say he's singing Christmas carols, and I'm not kidding...that scene is brilliant and so touching and sweet. I couldn't believe it when I saw it!
I LOVE that movie! It breaks my heart everytime that older woman (I think it's Vanessa Redgrave) opens her Xmas present from her husband and she thinks it's a piece of jewlery (which he bought for his lover) but it ends up being a Joni Mitchell CD. And I just love the song they play when she is just aching and trying to stop crying. Ugh...I cry every time.Quote:

And I love the part you're talking about. And in the end, that guy says "enough." Ugh...breaks my heart.
Now I want to watch it!
Nope i have not heard of it, may have to check imdb. A movie i am looking forward to seeing this year is Black Sheep... it is along the lines of last years Snakes on a plane! LOL.Quote:

Kari i have not seen Love Actually, i must hire it one night and have a look.
ETA: I bought and watched Kill me later a couple of months back, i love that movie. I highly recommend it if you have not already seen it ;).
Don't give away too much of it! That's part of the greatness, all the little surprises, good and bad. But, yeah, those parts all get to me. Hugh Grant is a dream. And, the actress who loves Joni Mitchell is Emma Thompson.Quote:

Definitely seeing it again, probably Monday :D
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
My favorite of the three movies! Loooved it so much, but as Bri said, not just because I'm a die-hard fan, but because it was just a good movie. My brother also really enjoyed it! ***** out of *****
My daughter was going to see pirates on sunday, and it was booked out, i have never seen that happen before and we have two large cinemas,so maybe next weekend .
I'm lame. I'm watching Love Actually again. I just saw it for the first time at the beginning of the month, and this is probably the fifth time I've seen it. :D
OMG!! hubby and I just watched "Little Miss Sunshine". Ha ha ha ha ha!! I am laughing so hard!!! :D :D Shes a Super Freak!!!!:D :D
^ i heard that's good from several people at another board i attend. must see it. :D
i saw one hour photo. while Robin Williams was good in his role as per usual, the ending could have been better. The last 20-30 minutes could have been done w/ much more intriuqe, though the effects and the beginning really is mesmerizing. sets you up for a big
...dumb ending. but kind of trippy. dunno somewhat disappointed in the um ending if you didn't get that yet.
:p
saw also scooby doo and the boo bros. now that was good!
:D

There are several movies out that I want to see...Rescue Dawn, Interview, Goya's Ghosts, Joshua, The Nanny Diaries, The Simpsons Movie, Evening, Waitress...the list goes on and on!
And, on Tuesday, Hot Fuzz comes out on DVD, I'm so excited! That was a hysterical movie!
My son and daughter just saw the dvd Hot Fuzz in the weekend, they both loved it, my son's girlfriend went and saw Knocked up at the movies and really liked it, i hope to go this weekend with hubby.. i also want to see Because i said so and georgia rules, chick flicks i am sure ,but think i would enjoy them.
My son loved Transformers, he of course grew up with them, i remember when the animated one was out and optimus prime died, he told me he cried, he is a big softie really at heart, even though he comes across as being very macho :) lol.
I saw The Simpsons Movie today with two of my friends. I liked it, it was really funny. :D
Over the past few weeks I have watched...
Perfume: The Story Of A Murderer
Dead Silence
Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon
The Pianist
Irreversible
The Hills Have Eyes 2
I enjoyed all but The Hills Have Eyes 2, it was really bad.
My brother got me 300 for my birthday, so I am going to be watching it soon. :)
The Hills Have Eyes 2-very gory
The Number 23-Different, but I liked it
We've been watching a movie every night for the last week or so...most recently, The Pursuit of Happyness. Great movie, although very draining. It's amazing what that man went through in his pursuit. Will Smith is pretty incredible.
I haven't watched a movie yet today, but yesterday I watched Little Man and The Bridge To Terabitha.
I recently watched The Simpsons, Transformers, License to Wed, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, and the first two Bourne movies. Alan and I both fell asleep during The Simpsons. It was pretty funny.. but I felt it dragged on a bit. Transformers was AWESOME! We saw it in a drive-in too which was really neat! License to Wed was better than I was expecting.. I wouldn't mind seeing it again. Chuck and Larry was okay.. we heard it wasn't very good but it wasn't terrible. We watched the first two Bourne movies so that we can see the third one tonight. Looks good! :D
I went to see Halloween with my sister and her hubby last night. I didn't like the first half of the movie, but the second was alright...
Lately, I have watched...
Closer
Canada Russia '72
Hot Fuzz
Shaun Of The Dead
The Forty Year Old Virgin
I thought all of the above were really good. :)
Just watched wild hogs on dvd, it was ok, quite funny, average, and then went and saw Premonition with sandra bullock my fav actress and julian mcmahon,(SP) was a pretty good movie, enjoyed it.
I watched A Very Long Engagement the other day at it was lovley. I can now add to my list of movies I've cried at. Air Bud, Flicka, and A Very Long Engagement. I tend to cry at happy endings.
I watched Wild Hogs a couple nights ago- There were some funny parts, but overall I wasn't too impressed with it.
