((HUGS))) i did make it outside today almost 10, briefly to send you love and light. how are you?
Checking in from this neck of the woods too. You were on my mind all day today. I just have a feeling that things went well.
The CT scan took only about 5 min and I was told that the results would get to my GP in a week to 10 days. However, my GP will get right on that and I won't be surprised if I find out sometime next week.
Rachel..I started an email to you a couple of days ago but have not finished it. So very sorry I've not been in touch. I'm still at work but leaving shortly....there's just so much on my plate right now. :( :o
Just want you to know I am thinking of you, and praying for you.
Johanna
Just thought I would update this. I wasn't going to but.....
I had another CT scan on June 4th and I just got the results today. My right and left lungs are covered with tiny nodules that with time will grow. There are 2 or 3 of them that are growing now (compared to what they were last August) so my surgeon wants another scan in September and if they have grown in size again, then it's more treatment. He suggested perhaps chemo this time or he can go in through my ribs with a scope and snip them off. We'll see when the time comes.
Those who know me best know that I call a spade a spade. I asked him how long I had to live. He said about 10 years....... We'll see about that!!!
Edit: I've been thinking about this today and making up my list of things I really want to do. :D I figure if I put them in writing then they will come true.
Take a hot air balloon ride
Go snorkling in Florida
Go to the UK to meet Pet Talkers
Maybe slide into Germany, Belgium and Denmark ;)
Go on an African Safari (thanks Africam!!!) :D
Visit Australia and New Zealand
Go a Findlay meeting
Go in a whale interaction program at a seaworld or aquarium
Sleepover with the belugas (my local aquarium has this program)
Visit Northern BC and see the northern lights
Load up on lobster on the East coast of US and Canada
Visit other parts of the US....go down south for some real shrimp gumbo...or perhaps visit Kansas???? ;)
**sigh**
I'm really sorry to hear that. But, glad you told us. Don't give up, ok? You need our support and we'll be here for you. Listen to your doctor. You're going to be here at PT a long time. Don't even think otherwise.
You'll be in our prayers, and hey, doctors are wrong about longevity all the time.Quote:

I'm glad you told us. Slick, there is never a reason to leave friends out. Prayers come when friends are informed!!! Got it???? :p
Love ya, girl. Just take it one day at a time. Something tells me that you will be harrassing one or all of us 20 years from now! ;) Never stop talking, please. We need to know.
Logan

You are in my prayers, Slick. I'm sorry that you are having to endure more testing, but you'll be in my prayers that the outcome is good. You are very brave and positive and I really respect that.
Leslie
Aw, man, Slick, that sucks but I know you'll prove those docs wrong and be around for several more decades! Give 'em hell! We're in this battle together.
Slick, Thanks for sharing this with us. I know it must've been difficult since you're a very private person. I'm so sorry to hear this:( but I know that you're going to prove your doctor wrong and live a long full and happy life.:) You'll continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. (((HUGS)))
I've always thought of you as being this strong invincible woman... you are, right? ;)
And if you're ever down here in FL I'd LOVE to take out on the boat to one of the islands or something. :)
Always have you in my thoughts, dear Slick.

This is the reason we have "re-checks", to catch things so they can be treated. Of course, the tests SUCK and of course the treatment SUCKS EVEN MORE, but we do what we gotta do!
My best wishes and biggest prayers will always be sent your way.
And don't forget to add to your list:
Visit PA and the Luckenbach cat house!! ;)
{{hugs}}
How are you doing?
I believe in the power of prayer. That being said you should live to be 100:D
(((HUGS)))
Anna
Slick, I haven't been on PT regularly in a pretty long time. I'm sorry to read that you are facing this again, and I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you!
((((HUGS))))
Kim
Thanks for letting us know, Slick. I'm sorry to hear the nodules hasn't shrunk to nothing, but at least they're tiny. You WILL get rid of them, one way or the other! Snipping them off sounds like a good idea - but who knows, they may dissapear on their own. Stay positive! :)
Now, if only you could work half time!
Sending you lots of positive thoughts and big hugs! Remember, I'm here whenever you want to talk. :)
Thanks for sharing with us Slick. I concur with Michelle... you best give us 20 more! ;) :D
*HUGS*

Keep up a good spirit, laugh a lot, and BELIEVE!!! :D So many positive thaughts I'm sure are helping you too!! HUGS and HOPE sent to you!!!!
Thank you for sharing that with us, Slick. You will be in my prayers. You are a strong lady and I know you will be able to beat this thing.
Prayers for you Slick. You will get through this.

Well, my friend, you will probably out live me!!!
Remember: today is all any of us really have!!!
You know you will stay in my prayers, always!!! Who knows what wonder cures for cancer are just waiting around the corner.
(((HUGS)))
Thats great to hear.
But I have some bad news for you...
You still have to win the Tour de France.....seven times in a row.. :D
Maybe after winning you can ride the bike through Europe to visit all the Euro PetTalkers on a victory lap  It wouldn't surprise me at all ;)
Some Thursday morning hugs being sent North. They have their passports with them - so they will reach you!:D
I want to take a moment and thank each of you for your kind responses and support. You mean the world to me...honestly you do.
I've been doing fine. I had a chat with the CancerConnection people downstairs and I felt much better afterwards. I never in a million years throught I could be so strong given the situation. I have revised my list and it will continue to grow. Look out Pet Talkers.....clear the way cause I'll be visiting you one day!!! :)
