I watched Cars yesterday. I loved it! It had AWEsome animation! It looked really real. I think it gave a good message too. I recommend it for people/kids of all ages.

Well, I didn't rent it but it was on TV and for the first time, I watched The Yearling from start to finish. I won't tell you how many boxes of kleenex I went through....it's too embarrassing. :( :o
Saw The Holiday last night.. didn't enjoy it at all. I was expecting corny, cheesy but good. It was completely predictable, overly-cheesy, and dragged on and on..
Nay for The Holiday.
I saw Monster for the first time a couple nights ago. What a horrible life she had. Charlize theron was amazing. I can't say I "enjoyed" the movie, as it's not an enjoyable subject, but, I did like it a lot.
I saw Unaccompanied minors on Friday. It was a good movie, very funny. Cute christmas movie too. I would reccomend seeing it.
I just finished Miami Vice. I'm not really sure if it was good or not because I was half-asleep when I was watching it. It was a very very long day :p
I watched all the Lion King movies ;) I love them!
Kari i saw monster at the movies when it first came out, and like you i cannot say it was enjoyable, because some of the content i could not even watch, but charlize did an amazing job, did she get an award for it, because she certainly deserved one, it left me feeling sorry for her indeed, i have since seen the documentary on the real woman, that too was really worth seeing, one has to have empathy i think.
Kari i am the same as you with Monster, some great acting but the subject was a bit depressing. Charlize and Christina Ricci did a great job :).
ETA: I ended up watching the end of The thing called love.. i dont know what i think of it... River just did not seem too well to me so that was a bit saddening.. to cheer myself up a few days later i watched Stand By Me for the 100th time ;). And last night Mum and i watched Forest Gump gosh it is a great movie... i love it.
Carole, I know what you mean. For almost the entire movie, my heart broke for "Aileen", but, near the end, she really did appear to have just completely gone out of her head. I can't imagine going through what she did, though, and don't even pretend to understand what that does to a person. I've had my buttons pushed and gone beyond what is normal and acceptable for me (which is always verbal garbage, nothing physical...but, still just as "out of character" for me). By the end of the movie, and after reading about her, she really seemed to think she was too far gone to be helped. It's just heart-breaking that people can do to others what they did to her. :(
And, Clover...I love all three of those movies. :)
Eragon. I thougt it was great, the baby dragon was a bit too "cutesy" at first and I was worried for a minute that it wouldn't be at all aimed towards adults. But, I enjoyed the movie! It didn't pull me in like the Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter movies, but, it was still a movie I recommend.
Movies - I saw The Queen last week, and then The Holiday on Wednesday. Enjoyed both of them.
Christmas Eve afternoon we're going to see We Are Marshall - have to remember to take lots of kleenex.
I watched Take the Lead. I liked it, It's about dancing, so if you're not into it I wouldn't reccomend it. ;)
I was waiting for someone to post about that, I was thinking about seeing it too, I wasn't sure if it'd be good or not. ;)Quote:

I just finished watching A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Bumpity :p.
In the last few days i have watched the following movies...
In & Out
White Chicks
The Shawshank Redemption
The beginning of the Mosquito Coast
Running on Empty
Kenny
I think that is all lol.
We watched Invincible a couple of nights ago. It was short, but, I really enjoyed it. It's amazing when you know that actually happened!
I recently watched Eragon and Night at the Museum.
Eragon was a wonderful movie, IMO! I haven't read the books, so I guess that's why I wasn't disappointed like others who HAVE read the books. Well, I loved the movie and cried a bit at the end. Won't tell why though. :p I can't wait to see if they are going to make a second one or not! I loved the Eragon/Ed Speelers shirtless scene, too. ;) XD
Night at the Museum was a good movie too! It was something different, and I loved it! It had many funny parts, and, well...with Robin Williams, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, how couldn't it be funny?! I highly recommend this movie as just a fun family night out thing. It didn't have any bad parts or anything, so I guess that's a plus for those who have little ones!
dogzr#1 and GreyhoundGirl - Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl is playing on USA Network Saturday at 7 PM (Central time) ... I thought of you when I saw the commercial for it! I was not a big Johnny Depp fan till I saw it. But I am now!
I stumbled into "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" last night on TNT. I saw enough of it that I would like to see it again from beginning to end. It was directed by George Clooney, who like Johnny Depp is a handsome 40-something. (drool)
Just went and saw THE HOLIDAY at the movies, lovely movie, a bit long and drawn out, mind you i was a bit on the tired side, but my son's partner Amber went with me and she agreed, but Jude Law oh my gosh now i know why everyone raves about him, he is hotter than hot. :D :) plays a wonderful part in this movie, you cannot help but love him, and he is so sexy. :)

And, we are going to see Night at the Museum tonight. I think it looks really fun, and it should be a fun night out! We aren't taking any little ones, but, I'm sure we'll all enjoy it. :) We are going to see it at an IMAX theater, and that in itself is always a good time.
Just came back from happy feet, I thought it would be lame but then I heard EL <3 was playing the little dancing penguin voice! :D
Hahaha those birds sure where ''getting it on'' with those dance moves!
I just finished watching Step Up, it was really good! :D Even if you don't like dancing you'll like it, i'm not too crazy about dancing but I like all the dancing movies this is the best dance movie yet. :)
Anyone see The Pursuit of happiness? That looks SO good, I would love to see it. Would you recommend it or is it a waste of time? I saw the preveiws and it looks very good, also kind of sad.
Night at the Museum was a lot of fun, definitely a great movie to go see with your family. I went with my boyfriend, his cousin and our friend. None of us are kids, but, we still had a great time, there are a lot of funny parts in it. :)
I want to see that one so bad.Quote:

I actually stayed up late the other night to see an old classic on AMC
(American Movie classics). It was called "Taxi Driver". I'm glad I did, but
sure didn't like the ending. I thought it was to phony for the realistic, gritty
filck.
We watched Wolf Creek last night.. everyone has been saying how horrible and grusome it is so i was not keen on seeing it but after watching it last night it was just lame and predictable :o.
I went to see The Departed Saturday night - great cast; really good movie, although violent and bloody.
It's my New Year's Day tradition for me to go to a movie. I'm planning on going to see Dreamgirls.
Just watched ON A CLEAR DAY a british movie, it was ok and half of u me and dupree, both were average movies, prob the brit one was better in a way, but neither anything to rave about in my opinion. :)
We saw Casino Royale yesterday. I love James Bond movies and wasn't sure how I'd react to the changes. Surprisingly, I loved it - Daniel Craig is great and the changes, although a bit radical, were quite interesting ;) We totally enjoyed the Venice scenes, having recently been there and able to recognize many of the landmarks and alleyways. Does anyone know where the last scene was shot? What an incredible house and scenery!!
Would love to see The Good Shepherd - I like Angelina Jolie and I love Matt Damon :D
Akeelah and the Bee.
I didn't like it much. WAY too predictable !!!! Sorta boring, too. Just not my thing. :)
Stick It-it wasn't very good the directing was horriable
Lord of the Rings:the return of the king-one of my favorite movies
