Ahhh, these are the best news I've heard for weeks! :) :) :)
Makes me so happy to see Bassett looking so good in these pics and videos, it's wonderful news that she's recovering so well! :)
Hope she can soon be home with you, Naomi! :)

Its great to see and hear bassett is doing so well, its so hard when our furbabies are hurt, as with young children, you cant tell them why they hurt or why you had to do this. poor bassett she looks so bewildered in some pics, but DONT WORRY bassett all with be good soon and you will be home with your mummy and much much happier, and Lexie says those cones arent so bad , u get used to them after a while and if you are really really good mum will take it off now and then.:) ;)
Bassett looks like she is doing good. Thanks for the pictures.
Another update...
First I will address some of the comments so far... I don't think Bassett was scared so much as she was sedated from medication.. hehe.. her personality didn't come across as scared or upset. She was just a bit wobbly from her pain meds and also she was very tired.. she endured a lot! But I went to see her again today, and she looks almost 100% back to normal. She was PURRING!! and giving me lots of headbumps. If it weren't for the fact that she's got an incision and she is in a hospital, she would seem perfectly normal! :)
When she bit the tech, it was the morning after the surgery, she wasn't feeling good and she was very sedated. She may not have known what she was doing. Since she's been on different meds, she's growled, but not tried to bite anyone. Everyone, though, just loves her. They call her a "hoot" because she's so feisty :) I think her drive to fight back is a very good indication on how she will FULLY recover! :)
Now.. the update :) I could have brought her home today, but I decided to leave her for one more night. As nice as it would have been to have her home, she has only been off her IV fluids one day and I want to make sure she's totally ok before she comes home. I also want to make sure she's using her litter box again properly.. she had been messing the bed because she was tired/weak/sedated. Dr. Schiller said she used her litter box today, so this is a very good sign! :) So, I will be bringing her home tomorrow night! I will be able to stay with her all night, and make sure she's ok. I pick her up around 6:30pm. So, I will be able to give you an "at home" update tomorrow :)
Thank you all for your prayers.. she's doing great :)
Naomi

That is great news Naomi! I can't wait for the "at home" update and some new pictures.
Naomi, the news that she is getting better each day is so heart warming for all of us. Thank you for the updates and pictures. As you can see, Pet Talkers from around the world are keeping tabs on your girl too.
I think it was wise to keep her under the vet's care for another day.....her surgery was major and she probably isn't feeling that great just yet.
Purring for you......it must have been the sweetest sound to your ears.
:D :D :D
Best news I've had today! :D
Wonderful news Naomi!! Please have a safe trip home and give Bassett a kiss from me.
