Oh No! I must have missed the first thread. Amy, I am so sorry to hear this. Nebo will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope he will be back to his normal happy self in no time. {{{Hugs}}} to you, I know what an upsetting time this can be until you hear that everything is fine.

Oh Nebo!!! You will be in my thoughts thoughout the week, I hope it's nothing serious. My Mother's Golden had a huge lump on her neck, we had it removed and found it was not cancerous... I pray Nebo's is the same.

I hope it's nothing bad. But remember, even if it is, there's good chances it can be treated. And don't forget about PT prayers. I'd be willing to pay into a Get Well Nebo fund, for sure! I really hope he'll be fine. I know exactly how you feel about your special dog.

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate it. It's wonderful knowing there's so many people that genuinely care about my Nebo boy. I'm hoping for the best, but still worrying all the time. My friend, Michele (Cisco's mom) brought over flowers and chocolates last night because she knew how upset I was, she's so sweet. Nebo was happy to have Cisco come over to play too.
He goes in Thursday morning for the operation to remove the lump. I won't be able to pick him up until 4-5:30. They have to send it off for testing, so I probably will not know until another week or so. :(Quote:

I've been away for a few days & just today heard that Nebo was
having a problem. You must be very worried. :( I do hope the Vet removes
it completely & Nebo gets better quickly. Prayers for Nebo.

Prayers for Nebo and all paws crossed, hopefully it's benign.
Bear had a huge mast cell tumor on his abdomen when we originally got him. The lump was probably a little larger than a baseball, but no one had bothered to check it so who knows how long it had been there. :mad: The vet removed it and pathology determined it was an extremly aggressive form, in addition, the margins she was able to get were not the recommended standard to prevent reoccurence. We discussed chemo but decided the best course was to keep a close eye on the area. He still gets benign fatty cysts all over, which we have to have checked each time a new one crops up, but he's been cancer free for over 4 years now with no problems from it.
Will try to wait patiently for the results.

I haven't been around at all in the past few months due to an over worked schedule and I drop in to find out the infamous Nebo is having surgery. :( Amy, you know how special he is in my heart. I will offer prayers that this is not cancer and that our special Husky boy will be back to his wonderful self real soon.

Thank you everyone. I bring him in early tomorrow morning, and I have to work during the time he's there...I'm going to be a nervous wreck. :o :( I will update when I get home though.
