All of our pets have been rescued, but usally from the streets. We did save one from a shelter, and I forgot about that, so I put no.

Yes.I rescued my Akita Kujo from animal control. He was there for 3 weeks and was due to be put to sleep on the 4th week only because he was an Akita.Luckily I got there on the 3rd week and let me tell you,of all the Akita's I've had he's the most loyal loving and greatful one I've ever owned.

Both of mine came from rescues, both were picked up as strays and taken to kill shelters. Sierra was pulled by a rescue and I pulled Buddy myself from the kill shelter after a friend of mine saw him on Petfinder. While I was filling out his paper work a GSD rescue called the shelter asking if they could come and get him!
I will always rescue and or rescue. :D
I feel it makes them more special when they have a story! :D

We've adopted from the shelter and from breed rescue (Dobermans). Past dogs have been from shelters and the humane society aswell. I hope nobody thinks I'm a horrible person for this but, I know a lot of my future adult dogs won't be straight out of the shelter as each dog we've adopted out of there has had some sort of temperment problem simply because my shelter doesn't really do a lot of temperment testing. I will adopt dogs from breed rescues in the future though.

My cat Misty that is shown in my signature I rescued from our local animal shelter three weeks ago and she is doing great now and sleeping and eating upstairs. She is still afraid of strangers and if you move too fast around her but she is a wonderful and cuddly cat to own. I'm lucky to have both my cats as Taffy was adopted from the OSPCA two years ago as well. I love both my cats and I have adopted other pets as well.

My parents have 2 for the local shelter. They have a cocker spanial (Patty Ann, 14 years old), and a min pin (Pinny, 2 1/2 years old). They also have a Hungarian Vizela (not sure how to spell it) Babe, who is about 7-8 years old, but she's not from a shelter.
