What about sink sleeping?
Every picture I see makes me laugh harder than the last! I have all these witty comebacks, then, someone says something 20 times funnier and I laugh even more! Great Olympics! Go CATS!
cat nip is not considered a performance enhancing substance. :D
Sink sleeping is an event. Prepare accordingly. ;)

Keeping the masses informed about the Games is going to be a huge task. During the 2004 Games we were able to pull them off with the help of some VERY TALENTED people who donated their time and expertise with Photoshop and other things.
A shout out to Kirsten, who came up with the original thread and was able to put together the team photos!!!
Anyone who would like to volunteer some time to put together the team photos, do some reporting and/or scheduling, It would be appreciated!
Because of all the disciplines in the '04 games - some sports and competitors were overlooked! In order to keep order and make sure that every Cat-petitor has their "golden moment" captured for the thread, suggestions for events will close on January 10, 2006!
That way we can figure out the competition schedule and the medal ceremonies..
Thanks! The International Feline Games Committee appreciates your interest!
More possible events:
peekaboo game (hiding)
elevator-butt competition
hunting

snowwalking

Tomorrow is the deadline for the getting your favorite events in the Cat-olympics.
4 more weeks until the games begin!!
But we still have time to post pictures for the events, right? Or do all pictures have to be posted by tomorrow? (You're just asking for event suggestions by tomorrow, that's all?)
YES!Quote:

My trio would like to enter for synchronised treats
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...hronised-1.jpg
Allen and Pouncer have a chance (I hope) at winning the synchronised sleeping event -- just look at that nose to nose move!
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...d/coldnap2.jpg
and most certainly Abby and Pouncer would be strong contenders for championship hissing!
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...gdad/step2.jpg
Pouncer would like to know if there is a computer balancing competition? Here he is completeing the tricky "back side out" move
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...d/RearView.jpg
And surely there must be a unusual balance competiton! Here is Pouncer again balancing upon a box of Dunkin Donuts (the unofficial sponsors of the cat-olympics????)
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20.../Donuttime.jpg
Harry would like to enter the limber sleeping competiton
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...d/hardlife.jpg
Harry also has a partner for this competiton in case doubles qualify
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...rrys-buddy.jpg
Boy do I have some impressive athletes in my home!
If we are not to late ;) Chloe would like to enter the Litter rolling event along with the rug hiding event. She may win both shes has been working on this for almost 9 monthes and it comes quite easily to her?????

Any cat-thlete can participate.
Pictures aren't necessary, but photos do add to the spectacle.

I stll need some artistic soul out there to design the medals!
I do have one person who has offered their skills to do the team photos!
I can't pay much, about 25 cents a day.... ;)
But remember, it's for the cats!! ;)
Are they the firts or seconds Cat-Olympics Winter Games?Quote:

Working on that, Richard !!! :)
I thing, we need a list of all the disciplines entered by now. :)
He he, that is EXACTLY what I was about to post :) . Good thing that I read ALL the posts before replying :DQuote:

I think the category "using yoga to fit into a small box" is missing. Peppito has registered to this one. He has many years of training!
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3.../PepCarton.jpg
And Jasmine is willing to participate in the Junior category "chasing mice". She is aiming at Gold
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ourisDec05.jpg
The amount of practice that the girls have been putting in for the Games is a sight to behold. The trouble is that they are not quite sure whether to enter the Synchronised Heater Sleeping or the Cat Piling, with the result that they are failing in both.

That's the trouble with trying to make major decisions by committee. They think they may have more success in the individual disciplines.

As we speak, the medals are being forged!
I made a mistake and posted a thread where a link to the medals was posted.
Judging from the few views into that thread, they have been accepted with rave reviews.
Those medals will be unveiled at a ceremony and a yet undetermined date.
Keep your eyes peeled for that thread!!!
-------------------------------------------
Remember, you have until 12 midnight PST tonight to submit a discipline!!!
RICHARD - The medals look TERRIFIC! :D
I had nothing to do with the medals-anything that involves talent I have nothing to do with!
The medal model will be contacted soon so they can be present at the ceremony.
Koxka deserves a special shout out for the creation of the winner's hardware.
I would also would like to thank the people who have volunteered their valuable time to assist in the games.

Soon the IFGC will have the details on where to send photos of the cat-theletes for the team photos!
Brody is in training

Lut, would you mind to make a list of all the disciplines that the cat-lethes have entered? Thnak you! :D
