I just heard of an Incredible Hulk. Anyone know how to make it and if so, poor me up one.
But first, tell me what a slider is.
A slider is a White Castle hamburger. They are tiny little things and they cook them with onions and a lot of water so it's more like they are steamed in onions. They're are about a 2" square patty with 4 holes in it and even with the bun, you can usually finish one off in one or two bites. You can usually get about 30 of them for 10 bucks - but don't dare ask for cheese because a sliver of a cheese slice costs $.20 each so that makes your $10.00 sack now worth $16.00!
They're not all that bad, but I wouldn't call them good either. I think they call them sliders because they're so small they just slide right down....and out. ;) I've also heard them referred to as gut bombs. Terry gets a taste for them about once every two years or so. We have about 2 each and that's enough to hold us over for another two years. ;)
Can't help you on the Incredible Hulk, but somehow I'm thinking it's green?
Speaking of green....how's about a pitcher of green slushies today? Anyone want to share a pitcher with me? If the weather holds out my Corvette will be delivered tonight. :(
Me me me! I'll join you in a slushie, Debbie! Bring it on. We have had the most wonderful sunny day and it would go down well just now.
My father in law always calls an ice cream wafer, a slider. Do you know what I mean by a wafer? Two rectangular wafers, about 2 inches by 5 inches, with two scoops of ice cream between them. You eat it by squeezing the wafers together and licking the ice cream that has oozed out the side until eventually the two wafers are so close together that you just munch the rest.
Boy....do I need a slushie bad......give it to me baby!!! This workday is turning out to be the day from H!!!
Sorry to drink and run but that's just the way it is today.
love you all!
slick
Those sound like our ice cream sandwiches. YUMMY INDEED!!!:DQuote:

I'm so glad sliders aren't what I was thinking they were!
I thought they were snails or something really gross!
Tell me how messed up this would make you. An Incredible Hulk is Hipnotic and Hennessy and yes it's green. I heard it's supposed to make you feel like a hulk and have you lit up like a christmas tree. Hmm, now mix that with some ice in a blender and ta da, you have a green slushie.
Can this old guy from Pittsburgh join in this game? I'll make sure Mario doesn't deal from the bottom, if you know what I mean!
JUst checking in I have a ton of stuff to do on line so I'll peek in time to time.
Is it just me or is it a little quiet around here this Thursday??? Busy week for everyone I guess..
Either that or that are all passed out from drinking in the heat!!!
Hello everyone!! Sorry about my..er...um...overindulging last week. I'm over it now. The hangover I mean, finally. Like this morning, I didn't throw up at all!! :D ;)
Now will someone tell me, do Thursdays always start on Wednesday....?
:D
Jennifert, glad to hear you are feeling better - finally! But you had fun - even if you don't remember.
Why yes, Thursdays opens on Wednesdays because in Australia it is already Thursday. This way we get an extra day lead and then when it is Friday in Australia it is only Thursday here.
That was the best excuse we could think of........and it works!
Now on to really serious matters............what shall I have to drink?
It has been a far too sober day!
Beer, must have beer.:p
It's midday and it's really busy at work, what with a long weekend coming up and all. (I've always said retail would be a great job if it were'nt for the customers:D )
Gini....have a green slushie, on me.... I owe you one!
No no no Gini, not ON me....I mean, on me....Oh forget it!! ;)It's a little too early for body shots! Or is it too late for them....? Trev, what the heck time is it anyway?
(entirely too much adding and subtracting for me....) :)
PitChick, how is an Incredible Hulk GREEN? I'm baffled. Hennessey is not green (although the bottle is... 6 years of bartending and this is what I know? ;)) and Hypnotic is blue? Right? How does that make a green drink...? Don't answer that, just pour!! :D
Trev, what is the holiday? Should I pretend to be Austrailan tomorrow so I can miss work Monday...? ;)
It's the Queens birthday holiday. I don't know if Canadians celebrate the same holiday on the same day or not, but hey it's an extra day off.:D (Honorary Aussieship is now transfered;) )
Now where was I? Oh yeah, beer, must have beer.............:D :p
Another holiday in Australia? Seems like every week you tell us you have Monday off! Let's have a beer before you start your weekend!
Guiness all round then.:DQuote:

With a big Done!:D
Don't know, never had one. That's just what I heard. Since the Hypnotic is blue, I guess the Hennessey just turns in green. I'll try to make it by a pool hall or club this weekend and let you know. If I can remember it afterwards. ;)Quote:

I want to be Australian too, guess I better let my boss know. G'day and crykee!
Good morning everyone! I see there was some parteeing last night. Dear God, look at all the beer bottles all over the place. Guess I'll start the cleanup duty.
Another long weekend Trev?? That does it. I'm packing up and moving to Auzzieland.:)
I'm thinking the Hennesey must be yellow. Add that to blue hypnotic and walla - you get green! :D What in the world is hypnotic though? I feel that's what I am these days, but I didn't know they made alcohol like that.
I've got the recycle bin ready for all those beer bottles, Slick. Mario, sweety, after you tuck that ace back into your diaper can you push the bin over this way so I can get all these bottles in the corner behind the table? Thanks, I owe you a few cherries. :D
Corvette is gone and tomorrow we're headed to Texas to look at another motorhome! What a whirlwind this week has been! Who in the world has time to work?
Hpnotiq® liqueur
Hpnotiq (yes, that is indeed without a y) is a tropical-fruit liqueur. It's made from a blend of premium french vodka, pure cognac and natural tropical fruit juices.
Debbie, I Googled this information. I had never heard of it before. Sounds deadly doesn't it?
Where bouts you plannin on mozyin around?Quote:

Mr. Olivers in Princeton, TX.
This is the motorhome we're looking at. If you click on any of the pictures it will take you to more and bigger pics. It's sooo beautiful, but if you notice it has no passenger seat! Soooo...we need to check it out thoroughly before we buy because it will be quite expensive to redo it to add the passenger seat.
We'll only be there overnight. Flying in Saturday AM, flying out Sunday AM.
W O W !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is amazing!!
I LOVE RVs! My mom and I go to every RV show we can find.... I love to look at them and find all their nifty storage areas and cool places to put things!!
Ooops I got so carried away by the motorhome, I fogot this was a Thursday thread!!!
Quick, someone give me a drink and a lawn chair...I think I will have mine outside since it's finally cooled down to only the low 80s here!!
:D
Holy crap, that thing is awesome. Can we have a Thursdays in there some time? I may have to reconsider the whole house buying thing and get an RV. Do they come in two story?
Debbie....my deepest sympathy on the loss of dear "vette!" I know that you two will miss each other deeply but take comfort in the memories.....:( ;)
Wow, that motorhome looks awesome. Definitely I think that one of these Thursdays we should take a road trip in that thing. Where's the jacuzzi and pool??? :)
Thanks for the recycling bin. I'll just take all these bottles out back and take them in on my next trip.
So, anyone up for a game of poker?? Five card stud, penny anty, deuces wild. Mario, let's check that diaper first...no cheating at this table.
I've made a fresh blender of slushies for those who wish a bit of refreshment. :D
I'm in on the slushies, Slick! Not so sure about the poker though, the only one that sounds even faintly familiar is five card stud, but I have no idea what that means. :o
The jacuzzi and pool are in the trailer - no pics of that though. ;) I think we should do a Thursday's road trip no matter which motorhome we have! Here's a link to some pics of our current one which is just as nice in my eyes - I love our motorhome and don't really understand why Terry must have a bigger one. Oops, I guess it's that "bigger is better" thing with guys.
G'day all.
Saturday morning of the long weekend. I have honorary Aussieships for anyone who wants Monday off.:D
Ah slushies, might just start off with one of those. The kids are at the parlour, so the house is quiet and peaceful. Too quiet in fact.:(
Debbie I'm not sure what you are saying, but I used to have a Mini Clubman S once.
Oggy,
I learned long ago that it's not manly to admit you have a "mini" anything!!!! ;)
Ok.
ready to play...everyone ante up, I am dealing.........
Anyone want a drink first?;)
It's Ok Richard, I'm not a proud man.:D
I'll grab a quick beer, and just settle down to watch the rugby this afternoon.:)
RICHARD, I'll ante up after a couple of slushies! A long morning on the ole golf course, today.
You got it, a quick beer....but drink it slowly!!:) DONE!Quote:

David,
Two slushies, DONE!
LOLOL, I am looking at the last few posts for this week.
Motor homes, Hennessy, golf, rugby, 'vettes..
An eclectic bunch, we is!!!!
I am putting out the tub with some ice and beer in it....
BEER! Ya gotta have BEER!!
anyone into a few hands of solitaire??
Awk!!! My computer monitor died this morning! Luckily I had an old monitor from a former computer. It's a 14 inch screen though. So hard to get used to again. AT LEAST I CAN STILL GET TO THE BAR! AND PET TALK!!!
Got to keep the priorites straight after all.
Can I get a pitcher of red slushies to go? and a pitcher of catnip tea? The kids were such a BIG help when I had to switch monitors. ;)
Here's the joke....Quote:

You go into a bar and order a pitcher of beer......Then ask for a left handed pitcher.........
If they are a baseball fan , they'll understand....
One pitcher of red slushies, One pitcher of CNT and a few hugs for the kids........DONE!
Don't feel bad, I took some negatives be put on a Photo CD and they don't work.......30 dollars they charged!!
I'll take one of those left handed pitchers! ...eeerrr....I mean one filled with red slushies. ...eerr....well....you know what I mean!
I'm going to need more than one slushie - they accepted our offer!  Now all we have to do is find some money somewhere! Peanut offered to give up one treat a week, so if Jack does the same we could save maybe....ooohhh....$5.00 a year? Hmmm....think we're going to have to find a bit more than that. :o <insert scared smiley here> :D
Oggy, you had a mini what? :o ;)
If all the financing goes as planned, we will bring it home in about two weeks. :D  :D
Then we must have a Thursday road trip! :D
Wow, Debbie!
I want a ride (for real) in this one.
It is gorgeous.............Congratulations, and that pitcher.......err.........glass pitcher full of slushies is on me!!
