Thanks all of you knowing ,helps so much.
Kay thanks for the cross posting. Merlin had nbeen ill most of his 8 1/2 years, I bought him knowing he had heart problems. I was blessed to have him as long as I did, He had an illregular heart beat that after about 4 years no med. lasted more than 4 months regulating. So we decided to just let it be. After his getting in to my 1lb chocholte bar. It messed up his edrenale system so I just treated him with natrual things to make him comfy . But the move upset him so that he started to chew at his tummy . On Thursday I knew it was time as he woke up, and had chewed a open wound on the penal sheath. The vet and I set the Beauul Sat afternoon as his day. It was sunny and peaceful , He was listing to the birds sing and watching the horses fun . ( Country vet with great lawn and trees.)
I really this morning know how much I depended on him , I had an diabetic episode and luckly hubby was here to notice, usually Merlin alerted me to it before it happened. It's going to be hard to make sure I test more often.
Thanks for all the lovely thoughts.

Corrina, I'm sorry to hear that you had to help Merlin to the bridge but it really sounds like you did what you had to do.
Please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers &
I'm sure Angus is at the bridge showing him around right now.
-
I guess I don't have to worry about him getting Picked on . With 2 rotties (Dana and Angus) beside him. :)
Thanks I'm slowly being able to think of him and not have a total malfunction. Lots of LES though.

I bet Angus has a big red ball up there and he's showing Merlin how to destroy it properly. Gosh, we've lost so many beloved PT pups recently.. so many. :( I feel like i've lost one of my oen each time, too.
Corinna, hugs to you and everyone else... I'm just a PM away.

Corinna, I am so very sorry that I missed this thread. What an awful shock and a heartbreaking loss :(. I loved your sweet Merlin boy :(. I know what a heartwrenching time this had to have been for you.
Merlin, I bet by now you have met all the RB angels, and you romp and play to your heart's content beside all your new friends. Please watch over your Momma from above, oh how she misses her boy :(. You'll meet again someday, never fear. Momma will never forget you, and holds you dear to her heart for all time. Play hard at the bridge dear Merlin, until you meet with your beloved Momma again someday and can take your place at her side once again.
