I'm hurt, honestly. If I'm not around for a while, I'm off crying somewhere.Quote:

Yes, so WhaleLover may have interfered with nature by taking some tadpoles out of a ditch, but the extent of damage to the ecosystem caused by her actions is minute. It is not the end of the world. She is asking for help to care for them properly, to make sure they grow up happy and healthy- but instead she gets reamed for it. Where did you get your Nanday Conure from? By purchasing an exotic pet such as that, you are only pushing the exoctic animal trade and taking them out of the wild and domesticating them. You have impacted nature in a negative way too. You are just as guilty as she is, so do not point fingers. Just stop it already, this situation could be FAR worse.
Whalelover, keep researching! I am sure if you get enough information you should be able to raise them. I used to catch tadpoles all the time and raise them into frogs- it is not rocket science if you know what you are doing. I was a little kid (like 7/8)when I first raised tadpoles into frogs.
EXACTLY! Very good point, I was going to state the same thing.
dont let ppl hurt u, they are online not in ur face. so dont go cryin off, be strong,
I think she was being sarcastic. ;)Quote:

Update on Tapdpoles!!
Okay, well today I was going out, and I glanced in the bucket and guess what...their all dead!!
Haha just kidding, but it's so cool, they are on to the next stage in their development now!! Instead of just being all tail, now they have little round bodies, with a small tail attached. It's so awesome, and their swimming around lots more and being way more active.
Just to keep you posted,
Sara
YAY! I knew you could do it! When they start to get their little leggies and arms they look so cute- but then they start to look silly as their tail shrinks! :p :pQuote:

I agree with Jessica, YLY, and everyone. . its a very cool experiment, and I'm SURE the babies had a much better chance at surviving with your help than drying up in a puddle. I remember when I was 5 or 6, we lived on acreage and we had a few tadpole puddles in the spring. When they would start to dry out, I'd drag the hose or a bucket of water over and fill up all of their puddles so they could live. Of course, my parents did not like this because that meant more loud frogs and toads everywhere :D tadpoles are adorable, though. . its so awesome to watch them grow! have you named them? :p
Nope, I'll wait til' their frogs and I can tell them apart. Theres about 100 of them!!
Yes, putting them back where they came from would be a good idea, but if you ant to know how to change the water you can look on numerous websites about tadpole care. I raised tadpoles and learned that if you let the water get really dirty and then change it it is too much of a shock for them and they will most likely die.:( moral of the story leave tadpoles in their natural environment.
I think we've already been through this.
puggy, the majority agrees with whalelover, that it was a good idea to take them out of the ditch.Quote:

I know puggywuggles personally, and I know that she wasn't trying to start anything. She probably hasn't read through the entire thread. She probably won't even come back to this thread, okay?
Okay, sorry. I don't know them personally.
That's okay. :) I hope your tadpoles do well! We have tons in the creek by our house.
Jeez. I wasn't even addressing the comment you quoted to puggy.
Tell you what, for people like YOU, I'll insert sarcasm tags.
Example: [sarcasm] --- [/sarcasm]
Fur&Feathers, seriously, just because some people don't agree with you doesn't mean you should throw a temper tantrum and continue to harass them and somehow relate this to beating dogs!? Everyone has their different opinions and views. Just leave it at that, my Gawd
Harassment? Please copy and paste where I harassed someone. Thanks.
Amen!Quote:

GROW UP.
FYI, I don't care to recieve immature and unecessary PM's from you, either. 99% of your posts so far have been controversial and arguements... I've seen one post about your dog.
Was that directed to me?

Woah. If you are 17-18, would you be going around calling grown women idiots? This is getting too far. Is there any way to delete this girl from the group? She is seriously getting on my nerves. Apologies are immature? Where were you raised?! It would be A GREAT idea to give us all an appology and we can move on with the great and fun group thisd is supposed to be.
:rolleyes:Quote:

Sorry for sounding really stupid, but I am really confused. Who were the "GROW UP" posts, and the "Lol, idiot" post directed to?
Fur&Feathers, why don't you just leave the group if you dislike everyone here so much? I agree with Kay, most of your posts are very confrontational and I have yet to see you prove that you can communicate with the forum in a polite, mature manner. Karen and Paul created this forum so people can come here and share the joy of owning and caring for their pets, and that includes letting people come here to ask for advice so they can better care for the animals they have. It's not created for bickering, badmouthing or name calling and I am sure a lot of us here agree with that. Pet Talk is supposed to be a fun place, where you can come and talk with friends and share stories and photos of our pets. A place that is much like home to me. We are like family. I think an apology is neccesary to the group. I have been in your shoes before, name calling and becoming very angry. I usually apologize because I know what I did was wrong, and then I take a break from Pet Talk for awhile so things can cool down. And now, a lot of the people I did not get along with a year ago are like best friends to me.
WhaleLover is doing her best for these tadpoles right now. She is taking very good care of them and they are growing up healthy and strong and have a fair chance at survival, possibly an even better survival chance since they are growing up in captivity. I understand you're young but that shouldn't be an excuse for your actions.
I agree..Drama, drama, drama!!
Listen, I never said you apologized, I said that you mentioned apologizing - in which you did. You said that you SHOULD apologize but that it's probably too late to.
Grow up, Give it up. I still don't understand why you're being so hostile towards everyone. I've never called you a name so you have no right to do so to me.
Off topic but I like your quote Kay. :p
Here's another off topic, I love your signature, Kay it's very pretty :)Quote:
