I co-oped in the Semiconductor Industry in college, at Microchip Technologies in Chandler Arizona. For awhile it was sort of a “family” business…my uncle also worked at Microchip (he has moved on), one of his kids works for Intel, and the other for a company that makes equipment for the Semiconductor Industry. My dad worked 20+ years in the area as well, in Ohio and in Florida at one company that went from RCA to GE to Harris to Intersil.
That would be a great job to have. :) Of course, I'd love to have a small business, too. :DQuote:

I'm an independent contractor as well, working out of my home office doing office management, bookkeeping, and secretarial work for a remodeling contractor. I have the office phone line here and am connected by computer to the main office. Been telecommuting way back before there was a word for it.Quote:

I'm a logistics adminstrator for a pharmaceutical company that sells ingredients for generic drugs. We import most of them from the company headquarters in Israel, as well as import from Hungary, Italy and Mexico. I am completing classes in a physical therapy doctorate program to become, WHAT ELSE ;), but a physical therapist so I can work with disabled children.
I work at a little, local pet store (that doesn't sell cats or dogs :D) and over the summer, along with that, I'm going to help out a local wildlife rehabber.
Little ole' me....
I sell flagpoles all over the country! :D + flags as well...
I think I'll be a beach photographer this summer too! :D
How'd you go about getting/starting that job? I am looking to do something like that to make some extra money. The jobI have at the vet is only part-time and I would also like to work from home part-time to make extra money to put me through some canine behaviorist courses.Quote:
