Yes, Dakota has seen snow. Last year on Valentine's Day they had 2 or 3 inches and she had a ball in it. However it was gone by 10 or 11 that morning Christy tells me. Sje had never seen snow as deep as the snow was at Scooter's though. She does really love it. Destiny and Sierra really enjoyed it too.

Since I was sick I didn't get to go to Scooter's but Carl and Christy tell me that Destiny just ran and ran - Christy said it reminded her of the way Destiny had run in the waves at a lake back in Texas - hitting them full force like they couldn't stop her.

Oh, Anna, don't worry about Carl, the man has a stomach of steel. He is already feeling better and eating like nothing happened. Me, I still am hesitant about what is going in my stomach.

Kay, yes, I think when the dogs have run off some of their energy might be better. They are going to be wild seeing so many dogs together in such an open area to run. Christy and Brian have not had their dogs to any dog parks - there is a lake near them that they sometimes take them to run but mostly they are not used to having such large areas to run free in.

The title of this thread reminded me of the movie "Three Men and a Baby", I bet Nine Dogs and a Baby would make a great movie!;)
Thank you for sharing some great photos, I am impressed with the ones of Carl with the baby and all 9 dogs.:)
I just started a new thread to see if anyone can beat Phred's record of 6 pets on a bed.
Do you think you can get a photo of at least 6 of your dogs together on a bed and post it there?
Do you have a big enough bed to fit them all?
I would also love to see all 12 of your family dogs together in one photo if you can do it.
I hope you feel better soon so you can get busy taking photos!:D

I agree with Kay! Little Jasmine has personality PLUS!!! She is just adorable. Everyone looks like they are doing so well. I hope you all are feeling much better. Keep the pics coming. I love them!

That's it for now - Christy and Carl took all the dogs except Oreo out to Scooters so I may have more pictures later. Jasmine is sleeping and Oreo is getting so slow she gets run over but the younger crew so the 3 of us are here chilling out!

Okay, the dog feeding story goes like this. Above you can see the container we keep our dog food in. (Dakota is helping herself although it is not the kind of food she eats - of course she likes my dogs better). One evening Carl and Christy went to the store to get a few things and I stayed with Jasmine and the nine dogs. After they left Taggert starting scratching at the bin which means I'm hungry. So I said to Jasmine Let's get the dogs in their kenels and feed them. I started with Snoopy and Taggert as their kennels are at the end of the family room. As I turned around, Jasmine had a hold of Oreo's collar trying to pull her to her kennel - now remember no one makes Oreo do something she doesn't want to do without the risk of getting bit. First I was shocked that she knew which kennel was Oreo's and then I was shocked that she would actually know what I meant and try to help do it. I quickly grabbed her away from Oreo before anything happened. Jasmine was very gently pulling on Oreo and Oreo has been more patient than normal with Jasmine but we wouldn't want anything to destroy that delicate balance.

Then I went back to putting dogs in kennels. All of a sudden I heard a thump! I turned and there is Jasmine sitting on the floor with the dog food container upturned and about 5 or so lbs of dog food on her lap! She didn't cry or anything but looked at me like okay Grandma where are the bowls to put the dog food in - I've got it all out!!! And she helped scooping it up into the bowls!!! Now how is that for a helpful grand daughter!!

It is going by far better than I expected. At Christmas in Texas, Pippi went after Jasmine a couple of times - I don't know if it was jealousy with me or what. But, knock on wood, she is doing extremely well- Pippi is letting Jasmine pet her, pat her and no growling or snarling or anything. This visit is going way better than I thought it would!

Yes, she is a Golden Retriever mix (or so we think)! She is a great dog - but she is also very bossy and can sometimes have trouble with a large number of dogs near her. - She is one of the reasons we are so surprised that everyone here is getting along so well. She doesn't always tolerate other females well - We thought she and Christy's Dalmation Destiny may have issues but none so far - thank goodness!

She was given to us when she was just over a year old. She had been in a couple of homes but whoever had her first really trained her well - she stays with us off leash and basically listens to us well.
