Debbie...I've been out all day doing volunteer work and just seeing this now. I can't tell you how hard I'm crying right now. Dear sweet little Tubster....he was doing so well. I guess his little body just couldn't take it anymore. Please, please call me if you want to talk. I'll be up for another 5 or so hours. I have to do volunteer work tomorrow as well but will be home in the evening after 6pm.

Tubby: you are still very special to me and I've saved all the videos that your Meowmie has posted. Rest easy little one. I look forward to meeting you when I get there someday. I'll always love you.

Debbie I was so sad to read about your precious furbaby Tubby, Tubby was a beautiful kitty, looks a lot like my lexie, even the same white chest dot, my heart goes out to you at this very sad time, and I wish you did not have to go through this awful pain, my sincere condolences to you and your husband, its been an honour and a pleasure to have known Tubby through PT.

I'm sorry that I never purrsonally met him - I had hoped that we'd solve
that problem in the spring at Findlay - since he so enjoyed Trips
in the MotorHowze... a Trip to Findlay seemed a sure thing.
Not to be... :(

I've lost a few very Beloved FurKids over the years...
It isn't easy... a lot of tears are yet to be shed...
But what does help is to share the memories -

I, like so many other PTers, am typing this through tears. I just signed on to take a quick scan of Cat General when I saw your thread. I couldn't believe it as Tubby had improved so much in the last weeks. Poor baby - his little body just wore out. He was loved so thoroughly by you, Terry, Peanut and legions more. You gave him the absolute best life any kitty could ever have and then you gave him the kindest, most loving send off. That was an extremely unselfish decision on your part as our first inclinations as pet parents would probably have been to run out the door of the vet's office, carrying our babies home with us for just a little more time with them. Instead, you did what was best for dear Tubby, saving him from any more pain, and taking the pain upon yourself as you drove home with empty arms. (((HUGS))) to you, Terry and a kiss to Miss Peanut. My heart breaks for your loss.

I was in the room with Tubby for awhile after he was "gone" and I finally composed myself and came out. The vet came and got Tubby and it was only left to pay the bill. As the girl handed me my receipt, she gave me a little card with a poem about RB on it. I thought I had it together until then. I am crying now. I opened this thread and as soon as I did my whole body got chills. I am so sorry you had to make this decision Debbie. However I believe you did the right thing for your beautiful boy.

Gone from your arms maybe, but never from your heart. He was a good, strong boy and loved you. Sometimes you wish you could be numb, instead of the ache you are feeling inside - I know. I'm so terribly sorry to hear of this Debbie. :(
