I was going to be named Tuesday, and my great grandfather stepped in and named me. I'd always assumed that since he is French, that Tonya is a French name but apparently he'd just gotten back from traveling in Russia and he heard the name there.

I would have changed my name if my mom had named me Tuesday. That is soooo ridiculous. And I have kind of a bubbly airy personality, so that would have made it 10 times worse!

I have two middle names - Valerie (my dad's mum) and Jean (my Mum's mum), but I'm not so keen on them so shhhh - keep it a secret. Very french.

Rochelle means 'Little Rock' - not very flattering, I don't even like it very much. My mum wanted to name me Kathryn, or if I was a boy - Brent. Still, that's who I am and that's what people know me as, so that will do!

No middle name, but in Moldova my name is Viorica Ion Casian, Ion being my father's name. When I was a student in Romania, they found it funny :) for them it sounded like a male name for a woman, thing completely weird in a language where you have feminine and masculine in names.

My name is Gayle. I was born during a blizzard so my parents wanted to name me Stormy or Blizzard. They settled on Gale and added a Y.
