If I remember it takes, um.. how many PetTalkers to make lemonade? Was it four? Did that include Mario? hahahaha every time I think about Gini's BBQ I find so many things to laugh about!

Gini, I would like to show off Pittsburgh to everyone! Has anyone visited there recently? I think that Pittsburgh is a little different from some people's ideas!
Well, it sure was good with the teeny tiny pieces of beef and onion mixed in:D :DQuote:

Thanks for the drink! :D Is it 5:00 yet? ;)
Lizzie, the sun's over the yard-arm SOMEWHERE, drink up. David, I think I mentioned this before but one of the best steaks I've ever had was at one of those restaurants on the ridge overlooking the 3 rivers. WOW. Also, come Fall there are some beautiful hills and mountains to meander around looking at the Fall colors. Gini, I thought after all those slushies no one would notice :o pour enough magic potion in the stew and who cares???
At a family reunion years ago, I was making spaghetti sauce for the crowd. Little did I know that my brother in law was adding some beer every time I turned my back.
Sure was good spaghetti sauce!!!
lbaker, the view from Mt. Washington can't be beat! Also, the view coming into Pittsburgh thru the Ft. Pitt tunnels! Those two views are beautiful in any season!
Yeah! We're going to visit Slick!! I get to actually (well....cyberly anyway) get Speckles and Max, and Slick, maybe we can discuss our new business venture - day care for geriatric kitties. First of all we need to come up with a good name.....
Gini, spaghetti sauce with beer in it? Sounds yummy! :D I've heard of sauces using wines, but never beer, I'll have to try it next time. :D
I'm up for a real drink now. Just got back from lunch - had a reuben quesadilla. Same thing as a reuben sandwich but on a tortilla instead of bread - less carbs you know. I like it because it's not as filling and I don't have to worry about falling asleep at my desk at about 2:00 pm. ;)
Oh, as for the drink, I think I'll have one of those swamp thangs. Haven't had one of those in awhile and all that tequila sounds yummy about now. :D
Swamp thang? Has that been a DOTD before? If I don't remember it, it must have been good ;)
Don't get me wrong everyone, I'd love to have you all up here, but I think the first stop should be Richard's place. After all he thought of it and I think it would be a good way to pay homage to our fearless leader. What do you think? I want to meet the inspiration for all of Richard's stories.
Then while we are down there we can swing by his Mommy's place, then Gini's, then Kelly's, then see Sara's new home. Oh my, I'm getting carried away aren't I.
Hmmm, lunchtime here now. Think I'll just slink down in this easy chair and eat. Need a double BM to go with it though.
Sure is nice to have everyone here today! :) :)
God, I'm sooo addicted!!!
Feline Foggies!!!! :D :DQuote:

David, I used to live in Pittsburg. Pittsburg, Kansas anyway. They drop the h off the end. Well, actually they think your city copied them and added an h. Very interesting place.:D
If you are starting at Richard's and ending up at Slicks - well heck - then I'm on the way up north if you want to do a quick stop here.:)
Well gee Catland, to quote an old friend of mine...
...... "are we there yet? are we there yet?" :D :D :D
Yep, Connie our PITTSBURGH had to be fancy! Does Pittsburg, Kansas have three rivers within it's borders?Quote:

Catland,
Be ready for the invasion...
Tomorrow I have to go down to the County Courthouse and pay my property taxes.. we are talking THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. YUK. I will most certainly need a STRONG DOTD when I get back. Something that has to do with taxes? Or Govt? Best make it WICKED! OH ICKY POO! What I could do, or go.. with this tax money! But I must say, I do love the county and place I live.. but REALLY! OH BOTHER! Help me Rhonda, help help me Rhonda... oh, sorry.. that's not Rolling Stones either  I don't care if it's not "TalkLikeAPirateDAy" I just want to say AAARRRRGH
HOOOOOORAAAAAAAAY! Its almost Friday and I get to spend the weekend doing what I love:
Playing Dead or Alive 3 on the X box :D
Like I don't do that after work and before work and at lunch anyhow ;) Ok so Im X Box obsessed
What is the DOTD anyhow? I missed that somewhere....
Laurie, let's just invent a new drink for your situation and call it
THE BOTTOMLESS PIT!
Let's see, what would be in this type of drink?
Richard??
.Sweet PeachQuote:

1 oz. Amaretto, 3/4 oz. Peach Schnapps, 1/2 oz. Orange juice
Shake over ice, Strain into a Shot glass
DONE???
---------------------------
Gini,
A Bottomless Pit would be Moonshine Whiskey and Diet Mountain Dew...
The kind of 'shine that makes you go blind.....that way you dont see the tax bill.................
That bottomless pit would be a killer! I had a chance to try real moonshine from North Carolina one time but the smell was enough of a reason not to. I'll bet it burned until it left your body.
OKEY DOKEY SMOKEY VAL, an "out of body experience" it is. Bring it onnnn. Thanks ya'll. sheez, now I'm even talkin' Moonshiner
NC Moonshine might just cut through this garbage that is in my head and chest.......I drank hot Saki on my birthday for that very reason!!!! :o
I'm very late joining in today, but hope you all had a great Thursday!!!! :D
Logan
OK Logan, maybe we should just stick with the "Sweet Southern Tea" :p Thanks for being around! Next time I have some money (hah!) I'll treat for a Mimosa and some Bay Crab Eggs Benedict and we can sit out on the veranda! HOOO BOY!
Well, here I am late again and missed the whole afternoon's party. Work got in the way.
So just got home and ready to parteee but being on the West Coast I think I'm the only one up right now. I'm just going to fix myself a BM and snuggle by the fire for a bit.
I tried moonshine once years ago. I'm still recovering.
Oh yea, my car hit 100,000 kms today on the way to work. What's that in miles??
OK you oldsters, what was that movie with whatshisname that played the "moonshiner" in his old truck? Going down the road? You know.. HAH! James Mitchum.. wasn't that it??
Don't have a clue Laurie but here's a little song to sing you to sleep......:D
The Moonshiner
I'm a rambler, I'm a gambler,
I'm a long way from home
And if you don't like me,
Well, leave me alone
I'll eat when I'm hungry,
I'll drink when I'm dry
And if moonshine don't kill me,
I'll live til I die
I've been a moonshiner for many a year
I've spent all me money on whiskey and beer
I'll go to some hollow, I'll set up my still
And I'll make you a gallon for a ten shilling bill
I'll go to some hollow in this count-er-y
Ten gallons of wash I can go on a spree
No women to follow, the world is all mine
I love none so well as I love the moonshine
Oh, moonshine, dear moonshine, oh, how I love thee
You killed me old father, but ah you try me
Now bless all moonshiners and bless all moonshine
Their breath smells as sweet as the dew on the vine
What in the devil are you two up to at this hour of the evening?
Lord, I could hear you singing way down here in So. CA.
Dang Slick, you're pushing it. I think that's almost the song they played in the movie! Whaat was that movie? Come'on David, you know it. Sheeet, I'll have to wake up in the middle of the night and post it when I thunk of it  I know, I'll Ask Jeeves! OH, ROBERT MICHUM (sp?) not James, (silly me, I was thinkng of James Mitchner, the author, not the actor)
Mizz Baker......could it be Thunder Road...........with Robert Mitchum
I have to tell you I think he was one of the sexiest men on the screen in those there daze................

Is it too early to start a day countdown until the next BBQ?
OK, OK, I'll shut Mario up for the next squeezin' episode... oh, but he's sooo much fun! (guess you would have to be there  ) Hey ya'll, I have to go fight City Hall tomorrow.. anyone want to put up bail if they ask me to "smile" as I pay my future security money? I'm apt to throw the money at them in penny's... NAH, I'm needed right here for now.. * oh heavy sigh *
Nah, Laurie, you don't have to shut him up...........just blindfold him...........he blabbed to everyone what we were up to:D
OH not "everything" and NOT to "Everybody" I hope.. Willie, your dear Mario wouldn't really "TELL ALL" would he? would that mean he would be barred from the bar??
