We been purdy Luckie this "Fall"...
really *warm* an gud fur SWIMMIN rite up thru New Year's Weekend! :)

SUMwhere we told da Tail bout visitin wiff our buddie - Amos -
da BIG White Shepherd;
an then goin SWIMMIN in Janeeairy ta get kleened up aftur da Mud Partee...

We all went Kar Ridin tuday kuz the SunBall came out anna
snow started meltin. Drove past da drive goin to the Main Swimmin Hole.
"YIPP - YAPP - *WHINE* - BARK - *HOWELLLL*"

Dad did sum *grindin* wiff hiz tooferz;
but gave up an we drove down to da Boat Launch...

Hmmmmm... NO Boatz in site.
Matter a fact, NO Karz inna lot... ??
OMG! :eek: *SNOW* inna lot. LOTTA *snow* :(

Dad: "Told ya! Still wanna get out?"

I didn't get any pictures, but Cincy and Taggert both did some unplanned swimming today....

I took all 5 dogs over to my aunt's house to visit Dazzi and run in my aunt's yard. She has 3 small garden ponds and two were completely frozen over. The third stay partially unfrozen becayse there is a heater in it and that is where all her fish live during the winter. Well, With all the snow it was a bit difficult to tell where the ponds were, so the dogs were running across them all....but Cincy got too close to the edge of the solid ice, and in she went! My aunt took her in and dried her off and she came back out to run. A little later, Taggert went in...that's when I decided it was time to go home!!!

What wonderful pictures Phred!!! I sure wish I was there.

Phred, those are some great photos! I love all of them. All the photos were so clear, and the ones of them in the water, that camera really made the water so beautiful. Did you have to adjust the shutter speed to get the water to show up like that, and the pups jumping into the water was really great too.

The camera is a 3 mega-Pixel Canon A70.

When I'm shooting the Dawgs, I usually set it for Fast Shutter Mode -
which selects the Fastest Shutter SPEED possible to freeze motion,
and opens the Aperture (LOW f-stop number).

As with most Digi Cams - there IS a delay between ME starting to take
the pix and WHEN the camera gets done adjusting its settings :rolleyes:
and gets around to actually "taking" the photo.

I often "rush" the procedure an mush down on the shutter button
*before* the camera is really "ready" to shoot...
Result is often *blurred* focus or bad exposure = :mad:

Another camera option allows "Continuous Shooting" where the camera
snaps pix at the rate of 2 shots per second.
Works GREAT for grabbing "action" shots - IF you remember to let the
camera get itself "adjusted" for Focus and Aperture before
you start shooting the sequence...
Try to "rush" the camera - and you've just taken 20 bad shots
in the blink of an eye!

I've often tried asking the Dawgs to Hold That Pose while
the camera and I try to get everything adjusted and ready to fire...
but somehow that request never seems to get there in time.

But - we're learnin as we go along! ;)

Yes Phred, the best time to have them hold the pose is right when they jump into the water, and make them levitate while you take the picture!;) See what the pups say about that, I would really like to know what their reaction to that would be!

They are so sweet and you make them even sweeter!

We found we dont "levitate" very well... :rolleyes:

I swear, Phred, the more pictures I see of Cinder, the more she reminds me of my Shiloh!!!
