Yeah I know. I took the Jessica one off but was too angry/upset to make a new one and go to imagestation and upload it etc. I'll try to get one up again this weekend. UGH! WHY ARE ALL THESE LIARS COMING HERE AND DISRUPTING THE SITE?!?!?!:mad:Quote:

Maybe Pet Talk was just TOO perfect and this was meant to happen. *sigh*:(
I'm a newbie, strictly speaking but...does this mean nobody will trust anybody around here anymore? :( I wish I could've joined before...everything happened.
That was my worry as well. Because I am pretty new and a younger member, I feel that now *I* can't be trusted because of my age and my new status. :( I hope I am wrong.Quote:

He is so beautiful! I hope he's giving you some happiness amidst all the sadness. You can tell he knows he's a looker :)
Veegan--please tell your friend to come back and share some more pictures with us--he is one gorgeous hunk of a dog, and I know I would love to see more of him!!!!!!!!!!
JiminyDobe--I'm sorry that this happened to you, and I can see why you are upset. Not everyone at Pet Talk is like this, in fact, most of us are honest people. Please stay, and share more pictures with us--he sure is gorgeous!!!
ZanZan and Chloe: I, for one, am ready to move on and have things back the way they were. I'd never think not to trust someone just because of their age/newbie status, and I try to take anything I see online with a grain of salt anyways. :)
It's sad that two things like this happened so close together, but this place has been so wonderful for so long that I don't think any permanent harm was done. A couple of people need to be banned or shunned, and hopefully anyone else who might try such a stupid stunt will be scared off.
BTW: Jiminy is a BREATHTAKING dog! Even my non-dog-person boyfriend thinks he is spectacular!!
I'm confused, so so so confused. I recognized the pictures as soon as I opened this thread. This is way too weird :( I am looking forward to an explanation.
Zan and Chloe - I do enjoy the newer AND the younger members who bring new ideas and opinions to the board. I would never judge the whole group of you based on a select few who choose to exhibit such awful behavior.
The nerve  How naive can you be to think that no one would notice?? I'm sorry Kirsten that this had to be your first impression of Pet Talk. I hope you come back and share more photos and stories of YOUR Jiminy! I can't wait to see him again next weekend at Marymoor!

dukedogsmom: Oh that is for sure! hehe Hes a big show off. :)

I agree completely, wolfchan. I have never and still dont really feel any reason not to trust the people on PT anymore than I would anyone else, ya know? These things happen I guess, and Ive calmed down now. (I was sure steaming last night when I found out).

wolfchan: again, I agree.

I am a new comer I only sighed up because it was my dog that was being used. The way everyone has been so nice and understanding makes me want to stay and tell everyone about the real Jiminy.Quote:

Nina ans Ashlee can hardly wait to meet you Jiminy:D :D
-sigh- I remember this dog too because I was also in awe about how beautiful he is. I just saw this thread now and it's sick. I've always loved PT and such to get away from the lies of everyday life I put up with. My bests friends for example feel the need to make up things about their lifes to make themselves sound so great when its clearly a lie. This reminds me of that. Anyone sinking that low is just a sick person. I know I'd be peeved if someone took my pics so I can only imagen. Anyway, I really hope this won't stop you from posting more pictures of your beautiful dog. Perhaps even if they were on a site where no right clicking was allowed? :)
wth? Wait so thats not her dog? why why would you say you got another dog.. Faking an adoption? Hmm do you really have laney or kodak or scout? Or are they someone elses dog too? grrrr im just shocked that this is what i find
I am sick and tired of all these liars:mad: How could some one fake an adoption, take pictures from PT, and expect NO ONE to notice??? Hello, we aren't blind:rolleyes:
Jiminy is an absolutly GORGEOUS dog, and I would love it so much if I could see more pictures of this ever so handsome man;)
I, too, also feel that because of my age that I may not be as trusted as some people. And I hope that no one feels this way about me:) I still love it here, but I wish all of this to go away:(
The best way is to prove you are trustworthy here is to never lie to folks here just to get attention - or for any other reason - and to think before you post. Spell things out, like "see you later" instead of "c u l8r" - it's that simple.
Another good pointer is never to post when you are angry. If a post makes you very mad, step away from the computer, go give somebody belly-rubs or nose-rubs/bumpies (depending on preference of the creature in question - NO ONE is allowed to touch Miss Hoppy's tummy!) or talk a critter for a walk, then come back and post when you are calm again.
This goes for anyone, regardless of age.
:( i was hoping to give miss hoppy a belly rub :) ;) :pQuote:

I recognized the very first pic of the closeup from the Cutest Nose Contest. I cannot even understand why somebody would want to do this. :(
So does that mean all her dogs were fake:confused: and Tucker didn't die:confused:
I am so dissapointed by all the nonsense going on here! I haven't been here for very long either, but I really felt like I had an extended family here, and I also found a bunch of people who are as totally BESOTTED with their pets as I am (and that's a tall order).
The maturity of some of our members has surprised me - I had NO idea that some of the people I was communicating with were "only" teenagers!
Most members (regardless of age) have loads of value to add to the site, and I will continue to read and enjoy their posts, but for the rest....................
Here is what I am going to do:
- If someone irritates me, I will add them to my "ignore" list
- I will NOT be leaving - I feel that what we need is for those of us who are likeminded to REMAIN on the site, continue posting, and turn things around.
- If I have something to say which is only of interest to ONE member, I'll send a PM (as Karen suggested)
- And finally - if I can't find something agreeable / nice / constructive to say, then I won't say anything at all.
Lastly - to JiminyDobe...............
Your woofie is absolutely adorable! You have every right to be proud of him, and to be able to share his beauty with others without the risk of his images getting stolen! I am sorry you have had such a negative introduction to Pet Talk, but I assure you that we are NOT all a bunch of nutters! I hope you stick around, share more of your beautiful pet with us, and get to know the the REAL Pet Talk that so many of us have enjoyed in the past.;)
Any words from Chinook?
This really shocked me. Why would anyone do this??
It's kind of sad too. Pretending to be saving a life when all you really did was steal pictures of someone else's dog.:(
~Rachel
*sigh* The things people do for attention.
hmm...Don't mean to change the subject but yesterday at the dog show there was a two beautiful Dobies, a black and tan, his name is Vince :D (Thats Annie's Boyfriend) and a Red Dobie named Copper. I have a really small pic of copper. But I'm planing on getting more of both of them! They are beauts!

I wonder if she has any dogs at all?
iceyshiver21, please post more pics of the 2 Dobes...please???
:D :D :D
I would say she doesn't have dogs at all. Tucker was in the 'best friends' contest too. I would say she/he is not at all what they represented themselves as being.

:( I think that because there has been no response from "Chinook" and that the real owner of the beautiful dog in the picture stepped forward... THANK GOODNESS. We must put this to sleep. I have come to beleive that the Tucker "owner" is very young. It is sad. The internet can be a very friendly place or just the opposit. I agree with one of the other people "talking" here: we should not be afraid, just more cautious and put people that we beleive to be "weird" on our ignore list. Let's get on to more and better stories. The person listing the Tucker stories does not deserve our attenion. I do agree an apology is deserved but I don't beleive you will get one. How ais everyone dogs surviving the summer heat!! I live in California and got my little guys a POOL!! They love it. Came home day from work amd my little Mr. T. was sitting in his water bowl!! I have three mini doxies. :D
