Well, right now my mom has a Ford mini van, and my dad has a Suzuki Samuri, and a Lazer.
But when I'm older, I want a HUGE pickup truck! One of those tough looking things with huge wheels, so big you can barely get in :D

I have a very crappy "Old Lady Car." It's an 89' Buick Century...dark blue.....covered in dog hair...:D
Nobody in my family has *ever* bought a new car. :( My parents have a 4-runner (don't know the year) and my brother has some sort of newer saturn...lol...as you can tell, I know tons about cars...
If I had money, I'd love to have a smaller sized SUV.
p.s. Ford sucks!! :p
I have a 94 Geo Prism that is my main car. I LOVE that car, 38 mpg and never a single problem.
I also have an 80 Chevy Camaro. It was my very first car, and now it's my collector's car of sorts. It's all original and only has 80K miles. It's my baby and rarely gets driven.
I have a Dogde Caravan minivan and an Eagle Summit minivan that are my vehicles for the business. They are both big, boring white vans.
And I'm SERIOUSLY considering buying a VW New Beetle ... like, tomorrow! :D Just for fun!
oh GO FOR IT love them beetles, have u seen the cabriolet model, the one where the roof comes down soft-top yeah
'01 Nissan Sentra :)
...and I thought it wasQuote:

Well, I drive our 2003 Dodge Durango, so I voted SUV, but we also have a 92 Dodge Ram & a 89 Chevy Cavalier (Mark's work car-it's the only one that get's over 17 mpg:rolleyes: )
I'm one of those terrible people who drive a big SUV. I have a 99 Chevy Tahoe.
My reasoning when I bought it - I live in the country and drive sometimes impassable roads in winter. I also have 3 dogs now and it makes easy traveling for them. And last, but not least is the dear BF - he's 6'5" tall and doesn't fold up well in little cars.
With the exception of the gas costs, it's really nice to take on road trips because it drives and rides nice.
Well, the vehicle which I usually drive while Brian is here is our 1996 Toyota Camry but half the time while he's gone I'm driving his normal vehicle, our 1998 GMC Sierra!

Oh my all these strange looking american cars!!
Even the Ford Escort (my Mum has one) looks funny!!
But I recognised the Ford Focus (nice cars I think).
I have 2 cars a 2001 peugeot 206 (silver) and a 1991 rover metro (silver) the metro was my first car and now retired.
I always thought of Ford Focus as the dumbest car Ford ever made. LOL
Personally, I don't like most American cars. They're always getting sick. German cars rule. :p Japanese are pretty good too (Lexus, Toyota, etc.) My dream car would have to be a Toyota Sequoia, Toyota LandCruiser, or Lexus LX470. All 7-8 seater SUV's. I LOVE them.
The only thing good about American cars is their good comfy spacious seats. That's why I love to relax in our van. :)
I heard that the Focus has had more recalls than any car ever made... not just by Ford, all makesQuote:

my mom's Escort just had a recall for it's airbags... she has an appt. to get them repaird on Tuesday
The breaks in the Escort went out once when I was driving it and I rear-ended a big truck (no damage to the truck of course...)
I'm starting to believe the "Found On Road Dead" slogan my boyfriend has always been telling me...
Yea Toyotas! :D (actually, my fave make is Jeep... they may be gas guzzlers, but they are so awesome)
I currently have a 2000 Chevy Tracker! I love it (sept for the stock tires, they are horrible!) It's dark green, very similar to this image (on mine doesn't have that white decal stripe.
I actually just got it about a week ago.
http://www.goldenmotors.com/Used_Images/CT953225GM.jpg
I used to have 2 87' Chevy Cav's that I used to drive, and before that I had an '85 Honda Civic Hatchback.
My fiance currently drives a 2000 Honda Civic SI.
My car will be great for transporting animals! :)
Currently a 4 door Pontiac Grand Am SE. :D
Amy, don't feel bad over having an "Old Lady Car".
My first car was a 1984 98' Oldsmoblie. She is a tank! I say is because she's still running even though I no longer own her. They guy down the road bought her. The only reason I sold her is because she was such a gas guzzler and I now take long trips.
She had over 300,000 miles on her when I sold her. Still ran like a dream. If I had the money I'd buy her back in a heart beat. I miss her. :(
Ford Focus:
We rented one of those in Ireland. It was a nice little car, but seriously underpowered. A few times while passsing trucks I felt we could go faster if we got out and pushed! But it did fit all out luggage in nicely (4 women traveling for two weeks - yes, we did have quite a bit of luggage + shopping bags coming out our wazoos).
Trackers:
I had a Tracker (a 1990, when it was still Geo) and that was the best car I ever owned. It started every day, even in the harsh Wisconsin winters where it is often below zero for weeks at a time. We finally sold it this year, and for the amount of use we got out of it, it paid for itself long before. 13 years of reliable service, and I really didn't have to spend much on it, just a few little things like muffler, tires, a thermostat, and a new soft top.
I have a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT (red, of course!) and a 2003 Toyota Matrix. This was the first car I bought brand new and drove it off the lot with 11 (!) miles on it.
My mom drives a '96 GMC saffari. it's built on a truck bed buts its a van. we both hate it. we got it when we went on vacation all the time and needed the big vehichle to tow the trailer. we'll get something new pretty soon. maybe a truck so i can tow a trailer full of horses!:p
Smokey,
Do you like your 2003 Toyota Matrix? I'm in the market for a car & they look great. Right now, I have a 91 Corolla that will not die. But it is rusting out from underneath me.
My son-in-law has one too! Unfortunately it was stolen right out of their driveway one night while they were sleeping. You can read the story right here. He is now rebuilding it, complete with a BETTER ALARM SYSTEM!Quote:

There are a couple of "update" threads, but this is the begining.
Well we stopped considering trading inthe Mustang, and did it! Saturday we bought a 2003 Chrysler Voyager mini-van. ( Justintime for the trip to the Dog Park!) The dogs seemed to like the extra room to spread out, esp. on the way home!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAA STAY UP NORTH!!!! J/k :DQuote:

I drive a '98 Dodge Neon - dark blue, dirty at the moment, dog hair in the back seat, and cat hair in the front.
Dad has a silver (I think its hard to tell with all the dirt - don't think I've ever seen it clean) Chevy 1500
Mom has a grey Chevy Tahoe
I have a 2002 Acura TL 3.2 - I got it after some yutz in an SUV totalled my old '86 Honda Accord. ;)
that was my original statement. Here it is revised.Quote:

I drive a FORD that broke down 3 hours into my 6 hour trip. After spending $622. on the repair I'm sure things are good to go. WRONG:mad: While returning home it leaked and has leaked for the past 2 days. $622. doesn't get you much any more.
I drive my parents' 2003 Dodge Ram. Gotta love those trucks :)
I drive a 1996 Toyota Tacoma Extra cab and have a 1986 Toyota Celica sitting in the back yard. The truck would be perfect if it had 4 doors instead of 2. Mileage is 35mpg or so, no repairs in the last 4 years except the CD player. The car has over 150,000 miles on it and still runs fine. Even looks pretty good.
Mary
PS. Fords suck!
From one CRV love to another - I love your CRV!! I will never go back to a "normal" car again. :)Quote:

I used to have a civic, but we needed something big for the dogs!!
Pam--your husband has a Z--what year?? I just love those cars!!
Hubby's Z is a 2003. Only problem I have with it is there is no back seat.
1996 toyota Rav 4 : mine
1983 Mazda RX-7 GSL : My super sports car:)
1988 Mazda RX-7 10th ann. Turbo II : His super sports car.

1987 Mazda RX-7 GTU : OURS

The New Mazda RX-8....................;)
I have a mini van and a pick-up
My first car was a 1976 Monte Carlo...one of the biggest cars ever made. Total shaggin wagon! lol
I drove 1986 honda civic for 10 years. It was the best car ever. I drove cross country 3 times and it never left me stranded. Ever.
I now have a 1995 honda del sol (v-tec) that I love! It's black on black and so much fun with the top off. The top fits right into a cradle in the trunk so you don't hve to leave it anywhere. :D I can only fit one dog at a time since it's a two seater but that's ok. The only way Buford fits is if the back window is down...he has to stick his head out!
I also have an 89 toyota truck that I use to cart the dogs and stuff around in, but I don't like to drive it. It's too big after driving the del sol!
Oh my - I just noticed this thread - I've been away for a while it seems..
I drive a 2002 Acura TL 3.2... And I absolutely love it.
It's as smooth as a mercedes, and just as luxurious... however it costs a fraction as much.
The transmission did completely blow out on me at 30,000 miles, but Acura made good on it and replaced it free of charge... (There was an engineering design flaw and a silent recall, but it's ok now)
a white 2000 Hyundai Elantra, with no driver's side window, no a/c, and a front fender that's not quite on right. :)
I have a 2004 Pontiac Vibe and I adore it, just got it about 2 months ago. It's becoming especially handy now that I am moving back home, lots more room than the Civic had but gosh I miss that car too. :( It's also going to be great for gettting Niki around now that she's bigger :D One day I'll get another Civic or Honda in general.
Here's a pic or two of it

I drive a 1994 Oldsmobile cutlass surpreme coupe. Teal blue with black(when cleaned) interior. 64,000 original miles. ALMOST PAID OFF!!
I have a 1990 Jeep Cherokee and I love it. I'm going to be sad when it dies.:( I don't drive it hard and it's still low enough in miles so maybe that won't be anytime soon.
Hubby drives a Subaru Legacy.
I have a 1988 four-door Chevrolet Caprice. It's my grandparent's old car!! Here's what it looks like:
http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/photo..._Caprice_W.jpg
except it's bright white. I roll up like a gangsta!!! :D :D :D
I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport and I love it!!!!!!!!!!
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...7/fb6d3184.jpg
I can't drive yet. Only about 3 more years until I get my license....If I pass!
My dad drives a 98 Volkswagon Jetta which I'll probably get someday and my mom drives a 97 Dodge Caravan.
-Chrissy
We have a 2000 Dodge Van, a 1988 Dodge pick-up, and a Dodge Ram 1500 (my favorite pick-up).
