Oh, oops sorry *sniffle* I didn't see the other post! *SOB* That is SOOOOOOOOOO sad!!! *sniffle, choke, SoB*:(
ugh...? what?? what is that fo?
I'm sorry that he is ill and you had to get rid of him. People shouldn't really get dogs unless they're ready to pay for all medical costs.:(
Oh no! :(:(:(:(:( I'm so sorry! That's just SO sad! :( Did your parents know he was sick before they got him? Its so sad but I truely understand that you couldn't risk having such a sick dog with other pets in the house. :(
Again, I'm so sorry you couldn't keep him. :( Hopefully he'll get well soon and find a good home. :(
Why are you suggesting dog names?? She doesn't have him anymore.Quote:

:( I'm so sorry to hear that :( :( Do you think you could get him back once he gets better?
I am soooo sorry to hear that!!!!!!!!!!!:( I was sooo happy for you, and now I just feel sooo bad for you!:( I can't even imagine. I am sorry to ask, but do you think you are gonna get another dog? I am really sorry to ask.
It wasn't the cost of the medical problems, it was the concern for the health of their current two dogs that made her parents bring Buddy back to the shelter.
Oh no! Thats SO sad! *Hugs* for you and the pup.
I'm so sorry to hear about Buddy:( :(
She probably didn't see it.Quote:

I am sure she did not mean to be insensitve, just missed that post, bad news about Buddy, he looked so cute and healthy, i do hope he will be ok, did u ever find out what exactly it was, poor wee pup.
Jessica, I can't believe this is happening. I'm so sorry, but your family made a wise decision, as Jordan and Jewels are suseptible to the disease. :( I feel so sorry for the poor lad. Is the shelter close enough so you can visit him, or get updates on his health? I wil be praying he gets well soon, and finds a good home.
{{{Hugs}}}
I wasn't trying to be insensitive either. Okay nevermind, I'm sorry.Quote:

oh sweetie, i did not mean anything by that comment, i just thought maybe thats what they thought, i was sticking up for you, never mind, silly mis-understanding.:)
thanks so much everyone! i really do appreciate it. :(
I have really gotten attached to him, and all great pyrs! ive fallen in love with the breed now. so *IF* i do get another dog, witch will NOT be anywhere in the near future, i would really love another pyr.
I dont think we will be able to take the dog back afterwords. :( Im just hoping he will find a WONDERFUL home that can take care of him.....
My parents said we couldnt visit him in the shelter. they dont want me to even touch him and then come home, because it could spread. besides, it would break my heart to see him there. :(
thanks again everyone.
Just wondering Jessica, if its such a contagious disease, did you spray disinfectant in the yard or wherever he went? Also, the pups didn't get in close contact with him, did they?
lol two misunderstandings then. It's all good now ;)Quote:

PCB: They didnt get in contact with each other for more than about 30 seconds, and still jewels didnt go near him. The pups dont go in that part of the yard. We threw away his toys and food dishes. ;)
But what IF the dogs do go in that part of the yard? :(
I think you should still spray Lysol or other disinfectant in that side of the yard to be on the safe side. :) Don't you think?
yeah... I just called my dad.... he said he would pic some up on the way home from the movies. thx
I agree!! he is soooo cute!Quote:

Do you like the names Chase and Chance?
AWWWW  HE IS JUST SOOOOOOO CUTE! i know how u feel about the happy part. i found my Bulldog puppy Maddi under the Christmas tree my jaw droped about 5 feet!
congrats what a cutie pie! as for a name maybe
~Riley?
They don't have him anymore.
did they sell him or something?
No i believe he got really sick and he had to go back to the shelter.
omgosh I'm so sorry i completly missed the middle 3 pages of the post! I'm so sorry:(
Jessica--I'm so sorry Buddy had to go back, but I believe your family made a wise decision. Why put the other 2 at risk?? When we got Riley, I refused to even take him into the house until my vet checked him out--I didn't have the room in an apartment to really leave him alone, so I just got to the vet first.
I'm sure little Buddy will find a great home, and in time, another dog will come along for you
I'm so sorry! I totally missed the post until now! My first thought though was honestly: Ah, what a cutie!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry you had to let him go though!
I'm so sorry Jessica, I completely missed this post.
It's very sad that you had to lose Buddy, but at least your two will be safe now. Is the disease treatable? If the shelter can bring him back to full health and then give him to a nice new home then it'll be a happy ending, I think. It doesn't even bear thinking about the consequences if you'd chanced keeping him and your Jewels and Jordan got sick with it...after all, Jordan's getting on a bit in years, and probably isn't as robust as a little puppy.
For what it's worth I think your family made the right decision.
Love the pics too, BTW, Buddy is a real sweetie. When I was reading the first two pages of this I was getting really excited thinking how we'd get to watching him grow up through pictures :(
