Hi Gary,
I just wanted to find out how you were doing and if the anti-biotics were working?
Me three!
Me four!
GARY, yoo hoo, we want an update! Prayers continue.
Things are looking better thank you Awesome Angels, and my foot is not nearly as infected thanks to antibiotics.
I am wondering if anyone knows if there are sulfa packs , so I can hurry things up.
I am wearing a surgical boot to relive pressure on my wounds and the Cats are fascinated.
I am really glad that you are doing better! And I am sure your kitties are happy to play with your surgical boot :D
As for sulfa packs, put in a call to your doctor's office. They'd know best. Glad you are healing! :D
Oh, this is wonderful news!:love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
I am so happy to hear this good news, Gary!:)
I want them to operate to cut the foot open , drain everything and put antibiotics in.
I have to ask more questions and learn more about what needs to be done.
Thank You for all your good wishes:cool:
Glad you are healing! And it's good to ask the doctors questions. More people should do that.
Are you asking this doctor to be your new physician?
I will never even talk to the Doctor who wanted to amputate the next day. I know that there are no Marcus Welbys and Dr Kildares but this is beyond belief.
Thank You momcat , it is good to know that you are in my corner.
I am going to infectious disease where I should have been sent a month ago, but the Doctor did not have a buddy there.
Unfortunately medical care in both Canada and the US can vary greatly if you have the connections or knowledge.
When you meet with the infectious disease (ID) specialist, can you talk with him about potentially getting some home care to come in to take care of your feet? If I remember correctly, I think that OHIP provides services like that for diabetics. Here is the link for the home care guidelines if you want it: http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/pro/p...guidelines.pdf
Maybe you can report that one doctor to the Ontario Medical Association. Yikes! Just so they have a record of what he did - you don't have to take legal action against him. Just the facts.
God forbid he should do this to someone else!
Gary,
When I had surgery on my foot, they also wanted to amputate my foot.
the day before the surgery, I told the doctor to do the 'best he could', he did save my foot. I also underwent a 6 week session of having medicine/antibiotics IVs - that was the easy part.
YOU are half of the 'medical' team and what ever you bring to your treatment is part of getting better.
Best wishes to you and all your household.
You are right Richard I am too passive,
We are hoping that your foot has healed , was it diabetes??
I have a feeling though a toe must go.
It is hard as a lot of doctors do not listen, especially to an old poor man, but I will speak up that is so vital to me that I can care for my Cats.:love::love:
Good for you, Gary!
It was touching yesterday as Scrapster Joseph was lying on my foot , trying to help it heal.
He reminds me so much of Juke Joint Joseph , he has that Joey PURRRRRR!!!
