Please, please, please come home, Butter! You are much missed.
I'm so sorry to hear about Butter missing. My prays that he comes back safe and sound.
Melissa
And he loves you, too, Barbara. You have always been Butter's very special friend.
Logan have you tried contacting Nancy, the pet psychic? Perhaps she could help track down Logan. Her e-mail address is [email protected].
Logan, I was just heartsick when I read this thread. Oh do I ever know the feelings you are going through
I lighted a prayer candle for him. I hope he shows up safe and sound soon. All of us love that boy from so long ago when he showed up and decided to live with you.
Our potter is much like Butter, would not be an in house only kitty, same scenario and he went missing for 5 days a few years ago. My neighbor saw him playing with neighbor kids after 5 days, turns out they had sort of adopted him, my neighbor went and scooped him up and brough him back home.
There is hope, I will pray for Butter.
I am sorry to read this :( Yes I know from over the years that you love Butter most dearly. I am hoping and praying that he comes homes VERY soon!!! (((Logan)))
Logan:
Please, please forgive me. Work has kept me away from PT. :( When I saw the title of this thread my eyes welled up. Dear Butter, sweet Butter - you must be around somewhere.

I've lit a candle for him to guide him home.
I was hoping for a good update this morning. I will light more candles for Butter.
I am so sorry to read that Butter is still not back. :( i hope he appears very, very soon.
Any news yet? I was thinking Butter might be trapped in someone's
garage or shed nearby. Continued prayers for a safe return soon.
I too was hoping to hear that he was home by now.:( Lots more prayers and positive thoughts are being sent his way. Please come home Butter!!!!
Humphrey aka Tubster Panther wont stay in either unless its bad weather.
And yet I know from childhood experience that he may not come home.
In June or July I am having the back yard fenced in , and that should mke my Black Cat Happy!!
More prayers for Big Beautiful Butter are coming from us all.:love::love:
Butter, come home! Please!
It has been one week today. We have not seen him or heard from anyone who has. I'm not giving up. Thank you for your continued prayers and thoughts for our boy.
Oh Logan, forgive me for not responding sooner. I've been housesitting and didn't see this till now.
You and Butter will be in my thoughts and prayers. If I lived closer, I'd try to trap him. He's gotta be around somewhere in the perimeter of the house. Ask neighbors if they've seen him. He could very well be stuck in someone's garage, storage hut. You know how curious cats can be.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers, honey.

Logan, years ago, I had a kitty that ran away when I was "ski bumming" in Aspen Colorado. She was gone for over a month. She did have tags and when someone finally got a hold of her because she was so starved and ill, they took her to a vet and I was called. She recovered (she didn't ski much after that) and lived to be 21!
So don't give up hope.
Butter may be hanging out in someone's garage. Who knows.
Right now, Juni-get-down is outside, on the lamb, again. She appeared for a moment this morning but then took off again. She escaped (pushed open a badly secured door) yesterday. I hope she comes back today, before I head off to work at noon.
Once a kitty needs to be outside, there isn't much we can do to MAKE them come home.
Lucy, my black barn cat, goes outside but always comes in when I do!
Come home Butter, your Mom is worried.
Sas and her Campers
Logan, I'm so sorry to hear that Butter is still missing.:( I'm sending lots more prayers and positive thoughts his way. Please come home Butter we all miss you!!!
Still thinking about and praying for you and Butter.
My very first kitty, Sugar, was gone once for over two weeks. I was beside myself - wandering the neighborhood calling for him.
It was into the third week and I saw him - called him and he came right over to me. I was sobbing - it was a wonder he came to me.
I think he was just enjoying the freedom and Spring!!
Butter - get your little bum home - Mom is so worried about you.
Continued Purrayers that the lil MuttKat wanders back home - soon.
How well have you searched at the Golf Course?
Any chance he got trapped in an out-building? Maybe where they store
the golf carts or the maintenance & mowing equipment?
(He might be hanging out nearby 'cause of the BIG Sand Boxes they have.)
Come on HOME, Butter!
Some things come to mind, and forgive me if I am presuming these were thoughts that you haven't had.
Get neighborhood KIDS involved. Us adults are usually so busy doing too many things to really focus. The kids love to help, and can be the eyes and ears many times over.
Re-poster, re-call, revisit the clinics/shelters and any place you might have put up a flyer. People 'see' but don't really see the same sign day after day. Put up something new and fresh- throw out the reward and 'needs meds' words.
Remember that Butter might be 'hiding'..and dusk and dawn are key times for spottings.
Finally, if there are other homes in your community that have indoor/outdoor cats...go to their houses directly. First, you have their sympathies as a cat owner and more importantly...they would know if a strange cat has come to their door/window.
Good luck. Butter, PLEASE come home.
Logan, I'm so sorry to hear that Butter still isn't back home yet.
I was really hoping that he would show up again or that someone would find him over the weekend when more people are home and doing yardwork.
I know what a special boy Butter is and I am so lucky that I got to meet him a few years ago when I came down to visit your area.
Here is a photo I took of him during that visit for those Pet Talkers who may not have seen many pictures of him.

I'm thinking of you and hoping that he finds his way back home again soon.
Butter, come home, sweetie!
I'm so sorry, Logan. I can only imagine how your family has been feeling this past week. Thoughts and prayers on their way!
Butter, please, please, please come home soon..... :(
God, please help dear Butter find his way home. His family is so worried about him and very sad.
Zoe, that is one of the best pictures I have ever had of Butter. Those blue eyes were shining brightly, weren't they? I'm so glad you had the opportunity to meet both of my sweet babies, Butter and Mimi. And now they are both gone. :(
We will keep our faith and pray for Butter's safe return, but it is hard. Thank you all for your support and prayer for him. I think we also have to pray that if he has died that he did not suffer. Dr. R and I were talking about it this morning when I had Honey at the vet and he said it is so common for a cat like Butter to choose to go off alone when they become old and/or sick. He reminded me what a good mom I had been to Butter through thick and thin and all we had been through with his skin problems and bad "cattitude". I know all of that, but I'd much rather have my grumpy old man back at home or at least know what became of him.
If something changes, I'll be sure to update here.
It makes me very sad that Butter hasn't showed up, yet. :( Logan, I know how heartbreaking it is, not knowing. I so hope he'll be out there and OK. Try to keep the faith, he will hopefully show up soon.
(((hugs)))
(((HUGS TO YOU LOGAN)))
I hope he comes home soon!
More prayers and good wishes for Butter to come back home soon.. I lit another candle, too: http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/...g&cid=10687122
Logan - this might be hard to do, but I did it years ago when a cat of mine went missing (I did find him, alive and well, trapped in a cottage basement - the cottage was for sale, had been shown to people, and he got in...I broke in through the basement!).
I called the highways/roads people to ask if they had found a dead cat. I was at the point I just wanted an answer.
HUGS and I hope you have news soon - and good news.
Continued prayers for Butter.
Given his age I guess that this is a possibility but it will have been his choosing and that is a good sign that he was at peace with the decision. He also knows how much he is loved.Quote:

I still hope Butter is around and comes home. An open end would be so hard to bear. One wants to know- one way or another.
Checking in to see if there is any news of Butter?
