I know it is hard to stay positive, but, you must- for Tigris sake as well as your own. Praying hard for you and the boys.

Well, the pred injections alone could help him. I will stay positive for you and also send prayers.
Keeping poor Tigris in my thoughts! Guess the good news is that it's not FIP.
Yes, I think it's time for another PT miracle!! As we all know, they DO happen!
Kirsten
Thank you for updating us. Tigris must pull through this! It does sound good that he's feisty - and even giving the vet headbumpies. :) I'm glad the bloodwork came back better than expected, I hope it will be the same for the analysis.
You know Tigris is one of my favourites here, so I will send lots and lots of positive and healing thoughts to your dear boy.
Kisses and headbumpies from
auntie Randi and Fister
Barbara,
I am so sorry to have just read this thread and to know that Tigris is having such difficulty. He is so dear and so young still.
Please know my thoughts are with you and Seigmar and that Eve will be hoping for miracles from the great cat god.
Hugs to all,
Eve and her meowmie:love:
Still sending the healing energy Tigris's way. I hope the vet isolates the problem quickly and gets an effective treatment going.
More healing prayers for Tigris! He seems so healthy and playful, I am hopeful that whatever this is can be treated!
More positive thoughts are sent to Tigris and you. PT miracles exist! And it's a chance Tigris and Filou have such a good vet :)
Sending healing energy across the miles to you........come on Tigris - you can overcome this! Your work here on earthis not done!
(I also send some huge hugs to you both)
Cats are just so amazing!!! Prayers for Tigris....
Many prayers going out for Tigris.
Barbara, I'm so sorry to hear that Tigris is having health problems. But, it is very good that he is feisty, active, and cuddly--I'm glad that he is not in any pain.
I will pray for a miracle for Tigris and for comfort for you and Siegmar.
Best wishes to you all,
Andrea
Tigris and you are in my prayers.
Barbara: I'm so sorry, I'm just seeing this now. :( Poor little Tigris and I can only imagine how worried you both are.
Mega prayers coming from me and Max.:love:
Love
Slick xoxo
PT prayers have worked miracles before so I hope that we can do it again.:) I'm glad to hear that Tigris is still being feisty and is giving headbumpies. That's a great sign.:) He continues to remain in my thoughts and prayers. Please take care. (((HUGS)))
Barbara and Siegmar: I am so sorry to hear such serious things are happening with Tigris. I hope the Vet can figure out a way to keep him comfortable and happy while you sort things out and get a better picture of the situation.
You all will be in my thoughts. Lots of positive vibes coming your way.
:love::love::love:
We still do not know much more. The analysis of the fluid is back and they say they suspect a tumor. That's more or less what we knew before.
Trude the vet was here this afternoon and gave Tigris another pred shot. He is quite happy, jumped on the table to greet her and did the same for me when I came home. At least he is not in pain and feels good.
The vet says only FIP, or the heart (which is already excluded) or a tumor could be the cause of that fluid ... All three of us are very glad that Tigris is in such good shape although we cannot explain it. I tend to think it is Pet Talk prayers.
So it's a CT on Monday. Siegmar and Trude will drive Tigris to the clinic and then we should know more. Tomorrow it's another pred injection.
Thank you for all your support. It's more appreciated than I can tell.
The best news of all is that Tigris is his happy self!
Again, because of this I am hopeful that whatever it is can be relatively easily treated.
{{{{hugs}}}}
It is good that Tigris is feeling good enough to jump on the table to greet the vet!!!
I recall you posted that his liver enzymes were off in his bloodwork. Does the vet think there was anything going on in Tigris' liver, ascites comes from the liver not functioning properly. I will light another candle for Tigris....
Fingers, toes and paws still tightly crossed...
Having to wait for the results is the worst right now, but whatever it will be, I hope it can be treated. I'm so glad to hear Tigris is being social and doesn't seem to be in pain. :)
Kisses to Tigris - and lots of positive thoughts!
Adorable fur boy, can you feel the cuddles and scritchies I am sending your way tonight? All our fingers, toes, and paws are crossed for you sweetheart.
Paws crossed in MD - hopes for an easy solution!
I agree, I think the waiting for the results, and for further tests, must be the worst... :(
But I'm glad to read that Tigris is in good spirits; he is such a brave and sweet boy!!
More positive thoughts for him!
Kirsten
Tigris remains at the top of my prayer list.
Gosh, I am sorry you must wait more time for an answer. I AM happy that Tigris is feeling good though. Cats are so stoic when it comes to illnesses. I hope whatever they find, it can be treated.
Good vibes coming your way.
GET WELL Tigris boy. That's an order!
:love::love:
I'm sorry to hear that you still have to wait for more tests to be done. I hope that the CT scan will go well. I'm so glad that Tigris is feeling well and acting well too. He'll continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
I haven't been on PT much; I have family visiting for a while, but I must take time to post for dear Tigris. I hope that all is well very soon. Jumping up on the table is definitely a step in the right direction. Prayers continuing......
Just lit a candle in our PT candle group...
Kirsten

Barbara, I am just now reading about poor Tigris.:( I am so sorry to
know how worried you have been. Definately saying prayers for both you
and Tigris. ((Hugs)) Hopefully better news will come on Monday.
We're keeping our fingers crossed and thinking of Tigris all the time.
Let us know what news you have as soon as you have them.
And give tons of kisses and cuddles from me to the most handsome boy cat I know.
I'm praying for Tigris. May the tests show that your adorable boy has nothing seriously wrong with him! Give him loves from me!
He will still be in our prayers - have plenty of food on hand, prednisone is something that for some of us - like me - is an appetite stimulant, I'd feel hungry even after I just ate!
It's true- the pred makes him hungry. And today he even pooped - which may have been the first time in several days.
The vet and us cannot get over how active he is. Seeing Trude having hope helps me a lot- she has seen quite more sick kitties than I have.
He has his CT appointment in a clinic on Monday at ten. Today he went for his pred shot- protesting all the way. Tomorrow we will go again. Sunday our good boy is a privileged patient again and the vet will come to see him here;)
Thank you for all your candles, lit one myself (and some of you know that I am not exactly a candle person;))
I sometimes feel we are kept in that net woven by caring people all over the world.
I wonder if Tigris will have the table set for tea when Trude the vet arrives?

He is a nice boy like that!!!:D
My heart goes out to Tigris and I hope that everything turns out ok. I seem to always have problems with my kitties when they turn 12. Something about 12 - usually means a slew of health problems. My Sydney was diagnosed with cancer back in June of 2008. It was hands down the most stressful year of my life. The good news is, we gave her chemo treatments, and her cancer has been in remission since December of 2008. I guess for me - having hope, and this website, really helped me a whole lot. I hope that Tigirs doesn't have cancer, however, if she he does, know that there are options out there. Good luck to you and please keep us updated!:love::love:
Thinking of Tigris this morning and sending many prayers and loving thoughts to you across the miles.
Barbara, you are so right. My arms are stretched wide - giving you a comforting hug. More purrayers coming from me and Max for Monday's appt.:love:Quote:
