Wow!!! I guess you're gonna' be around forever.............:D
Sorry - the devil made me do it

I think blue and ES secretely have a crush on each other:p
Later this afternoon, when I am on my home computer, I will look at the deleted thread and verify whether or not President Truman is mentioned, and by whom. I hope that will settle this kerfluffle. And everyone remember to play nice, okay?
How adorable.
I agree with you both - half way. Blue does seem to be obsessed with me.
I now avoid posting in threads he starts or responding to his outrageous posts in other threads as I don't want to encourage his obsession. But he seems to be unable to control his desire to post in threads I start or respond to.
I am a bit too old for him and he is definitely not my type.
I wish he would understand that!
I too wish he would leave me alone.
:D Aww - come on ES. I'm not so old that I don't remember how those crushes go. You fight with each other outwardly so everyone thinks you hate each other, where if the truth be known, it's just the opposite. Ok - you can at least crack half a smile - that's easier on the facial muscles than a frown. :p
I remember how I absolutely hated puckstop - I felt he was a know-it-all pompous a$$ - and I went head to head with him. I've had a change of heart tho. From my observations I've seen that he appears to be a very intelligent man, great family man, and a man with the courage of his convictions. He might still be a know-it-all pompous a$$ for all I know, but he has a lot of other admirable qualities. That doesn't mean that I have to agree with his posts, but I see no point in trying to knock him down either.
Just a little bit of useless info - not that anyone really cares.
I just checked the "deleted thread" - one of those powers I have as a moderator. blue, Edwina's Secretary did not mention Harry Truman at all in that thread, and neither did anyone else.
Everyone should treat each other respectively, okay?
LOL pushing each other off the monkey bars. he chases her around with mud, next thing you know there are PM's being exchanged "Do you love me? check yes or no"
As far as I can tell they are equally obsessed with each other. if you really hated the banter between the two of you at least ONE of you would put the other on ignore ;)
Catland...That sounds amazing... any pics from that particular tour walking on the cooled lava and such? I can imagine how beautiful the whole thing was.
Thank you Karen. For some reason I hate being called a liar.:rolleyes:
I will now take the pledge. I have...as Sparky suggested put blue on ignore. Elsewise I might wait for an apology for what he said in the original thread and an apology for calling me a liar in this one. And somehow I know it won't happen.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
So I guess by the logic Sparky and pomtzu are using...Puckstop has a crush on Liz! Wow....who would have thought it? ;-))
 Hey WoW Sparks19 your New Siggy of Hanna & the pups is just Tooo Cute.. The pup upside down & Hanna laying on the other pup.. Too Cute & Sweet.. ;) Thanks for the Smile..
I've stayed away from this until now. I have to chime in though. I've noticed that you encourage the snide remarks just as much as blue does, so that comment about him leaving you alone is pretty amusing to me.
How about everyone take the high road and neither of you make comments like the above?
You should all - old, new and otherwise, quit with name calling, accusations, bickering, etc.,. This thread has veered far from the topic of National Parks. Please think of how an outsider would feel reading anything you post, and remember we want Pet Talk to be a friendly, welcoming place.
National Park Service to offer free admission on 3 weekends
POSTED: 01:06 p.m. EDT, Jun 02, 2009
The National Park Service will offer three fee-free weekends this summer, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced this morning during a news conference at Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
''During these tough economic times, our national parks provide opportunities for affordable vacations for families,'' Salazar said. ''I encourage everyone to visit one of our nation's crown jewels this summer and especially to take advantage of the three free-admission weekends.''
There are 391 national parks located in 49 states.
The 147 National Park Service sites across the country that charge admission will waive those fees during the weekends of June 20-21, July 18-19, and August 15-16, Salazar said.
Many park partners, including tour operators, hotels, restaurants, gift shops, and other vendors will offer additional discounts and special promotions on those dates, he said.

Never called you a liar, just like youve never called me a troll.
I will appologize again for being wrong however, in this thread.
What do I have to appologise for in your original thread?
Somebody quote the part in bold so ES sees it as I am now on her ignore list, TIA.
ETA: sorry for using the multi quote function.
In the original thread she credits all those - Theodore Roosevelt and others - who helped create the legislation that preserves our National Parks.
I am glad everyone is calming down, and apologies have been proffered. See, we can all get along.
Thank you, everyone.
We have been to several National Parks, including Zion Canyon, which we kind of went through by accident, but was stunningly beautiful. Our country has such varied landscapes, from Cape Cod National Seashore all the way to Hawaii's Volcanos National Park and everything in between - we are a fortunate nation.

And two shots of Lake Louise - you walk from the parking lot, around the corner of a path, and SLAM! Lake and mountain make an immense and stunning impact (okay, you have to be there :D )!

That's more like it! Who can stay angry after seeing gorgeous shots like that?
Beautiful pics! And yes - I'm jealous - to the max!:)
Those are beautiful pictures of Banff Nat PK.
I was a leader for Adventure Cycle out of Missoula Montana. I had already lead several groups on the Colorado and Montana Great Divide Mountain bike routes prior to 2005. I had planned to do the Banff to Roosville Mt Route in 2005 but became ill with cancer so that dream never came about. This is the Great Divide MTN Bike route in Canada that I would have lead if not for my illness. It is 215 miles of pure heaven. http://www.adventurecycling.org/rout...ide_Canada.gif
Wow, great pictures!
OOh Moraine is one of my favourite places in the world (and I am lucky to have seen a lot of places)! Thanks Catty! We used to take our kids camping in the Rockies every year when we lived in Alberta.
Blue that also looks like a little piece of heaven; thanks for sharing!
These are pics of China , where I live presently.
