Ooooh! Lyra is beautiful! Congratulations!
What a beautiful tiny little baby! Congratulations to her and all her loving family!
Awww----what an adorable little girl, I love the name, seems to suit her so well. A real cutie pie, I'm sure we'll be seeing more of her as she grows.Congratulations.
Thank you for all of your nice comments!! :)
Her name is pronounced LIE-ra. We liked the sound and the meaning- it's from the instrument lyre.
The pets are doing really well so far. Mostly they are ignoring her, but Marta keeps wanting to lick her face and Desmond always tries to snuggle with her (and occasionally tries to slap her hands if she's moving them around).
Oh my goodness what an angel! She's just so darn precious! Congratulations, new mommy!!! I just love her name, too. Very, very lovely!
Was she early or on time? I seem to remember you not being due for another couple weeks, but I've been gone from PT for a bit, so I could have just lost track of time.
Again, congrats on your little angel! She is just perfect :)
I don't mean copy what everyone else is saying - but there is no question - she is a beautiful baby.
I too, love her name and as Mary has noticed, she has beautiful lips.
More pictures please!!!
Thanks again everyone! :)
Yes, she was a few weeks early. I was diagnosed with mild preeclampsia a few weeks before I delivered and was on bed rest. But on the day before Lyra was born I went in with a bad headache and my blood pressure had skyrocketed! So they had to induce right away- I'm just glad that Lyra was fine and in fact they thought she was developmentally at 37 weeks instead of almost 36, so that was a blessing. And she got to come home right away, too, which I am so glad for!
