When cat's don't eat they're usually pretty sick. And yes not drinking can cause some very bad dehydration.
If it was my cat I'd head to the ER if your regular vet isn't in, I wouldn't wait until Monday.

Her thread title says there's no emergency vet nearby. We don't know where she lives, but I gave her two numbers I know are staffed 24 hours a day, so at least she can talk to someone.Quote:

astralis, I'm so sorry to hear about your cat.:( I'd definitely be calling an ER clinic and most likley taking her in to be seen. She may have eaten something that she's not supposed to or may even have something like pancreatitis like my Ziggy had. Hopefully you'll be able to get her some help soon. I'll be keeping her in my thoughts and prayers.

did you ever figure out what it was? my cat finley has started doing this the past few days, yesterday morning we took him to the er and they did a blood test, gave him fluids and felt his abdomen which they said felt soft (not a tumor) and did his anal glands which were pretty full. he felt better that night, and this morning, but now this afternoon he's vomiting again, he has diarrhea and is going to dark corners like your cat! the er said to take him to the vet if it persists, and i just called my vet and they say to take him to the er. i'm completely confused.Quote:
