Yellow Lab Lover, your cats are so cute. I love the one of Dudley and Oreo.
Hee-Hee- thanks!
I love seeing all these wonderful cats !!!!
My family includes:
Amber (orange DLH),
Ashley (tabby calico DSH),
Biddy White Whiskers (black tuxedo DSH),
Calvin Klein (brown tabby and white Norwegian Forest Cat),
Fern (orange and white DSH),
Jasper (Black DMH),
Lucas Wolenczak(orange with a little white DSH),
Monte Crisco (white DSH),
Rutherford B. Hayes (blue and white DLH),
Sterling (silver maceral tabby DSH) and
Willow (dark tabby and white DSH)
All of which were shelter cats or strays. And all are strictly indoor cats.
Don't you all have room for JUST ONE MORE ???
;) :) :D
Wow! That's a lot of cats. Do you have any pictures of them that you can post for us?Quote:

What a beautiful cat!
right now I do not have the equipment, or the knowledge, to post pictures, but when I do I can't wait to show them off..
:)
Yes, jenluckenbach, we want to see your gang o' cats someday soon!
Wow, everyone's kitties are so wonderful and beautiful. :) :) :) :) :)
Me, I have a sweetheart of a tabby/tortie, Saima (4 years old, female), and a feisty-yet-loving calico, Miko (3 years old, female). See their pics in my signature. Both kitties were adopted from the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society. I love 'em so much it hurts! :p :) ;)
Hi everyone, I'm new. I just got a new kitten for my birthday, and when my husband first handed him to me, I thought he was just a normal orange tabby DSH. But then I got a good look at him and it turns out he's not striped like a tabby, he's spotted. I don't know if maybe he's some strange mix or something, but he's really cute! I've never seen a spotted cat besides an ocicat (and a bengal I think?) I wish I had a picture of him, but I'm at work (don't tell my boss! :D ) and I don't have it here. Has anyone seen an orange spotted cat before?
Shannon
Congrats on getting a Bengal cat. Here is a picture of my youngest Bengal cat who turned 6 Saturday.
Saqndy Frost:)
So you think he's part bengal then? I'll try to post that picture when I get home tonight. I'm really curious what he could be!
Shannon
Edit: I just went and looked at some pictures from Bengal catteries, and he sure does look like those kittens ! Only real major difference I've seen is the fact that he's orange, not brown/grey/silver/black. That's cool! :D
Ok, my dad just emailed me the pic I sent him, so I can post it now. So here he is, meet Marvin! (I hope this works...)
Shannon
I think your cat could have some Bengal or Ocicat in him because they are both spotted. Baxter is 3/4 Bengal anf 1/4 Manx. His mother was 1/2 Bengal & 1/2 Manx. His father is all Bengal which is full blooded uncles Yuri and Tigger live with him.
Sandy Frost
Here are pictures of his uncle's.
Here is a picture of tigger and baxter.

Can I just say thank you for being so polite?
Yesterday I joined a group about bengals, I figured I'd post a picture and see what they thought. The first person to respond to my post said fat chance of finding a bengal in a pet store. The second repremanded me for getting a pet store cat rather than going to the shelter or a breeder (because, you know, I had a say in where my birthday gift was purchased from...) Real sweet. So I left the group. I wasn't even there a full day.
So thanks again for answering my question so nicely!
B) Shannon
Those people sounded rude. You get a cat where you get a cat. And it's nobodies business. I didn't know what a Bengal was until I was cat sitter for a friend. Try CAT FANCY magizine. In the back there are listing of breeders. That is a good place to start.:)
Sandy Frost
hehehe, oh no, no more cats for me right now! I got my luvbugs, a big fat tuxedo cat Zeus and my little spottie Marvin, and my roommates got a little black kitten a couple days after we got Marvin. We have more than I ever expected to have...I can't believe at this time last year I was thinking of getting a puppy!
Now if I could get Zeus to stay for two seconds when Marvin gets close, so I could get a picture of both of them! :D
Shannon
Cool! A zoo. At my sister's and I house we have 3Bengal cat, 1 treefrog,3 leopard Geckos,2 corn snakes,1 hermit crab &2 Betta fish. A ZOO.
Sandy Frost:D
Oh, that's not all, that's just my cats. We also have a ferret :)
Shannon
Cool a ferrret. What I meant is there are alot of breeders listed in the back of CAT FANCY magazine and they would be able to answer your question. Check out this book GETTING TO KNOW THE BENGAL CAT BY GENE JOHNSON

I have two babies. but dont know how to show you! can someone tell me how to upload pictures onto the screen, because you can only attach one at a time in the 'attach file' option.

Here are my girls. Cleo on the left is a Lilac Lynx Point Siamese and Colette on the right is a Blue Point Siamese. Cleo is sixteen and a half and Colette is six and a half years of age. I love them so much, they are my children.
This is Buggeara and he's a polydactyl, which means a larger amount of toes than normal. He has 7 toes on both his front paws. His grandmother had 7 toes on both front and back paws for a total of 28 toes. This is caused by a mutant gene, and is not considered a defect. They are very normal cats that live very normal lives...now the furniture is a different story!
The top picture is when he was 4 weeks old, and the bottom is when he turned 4yrs old.

I see nobody has been able to help you here. Sorry. I'm very new to all this, but my suggestion is, you just do two posts, one for each of your kitties (unless you have a picture of them both together, like my girls?) Unless you can condense both pictures into one file. Sorry, I'm not up to speed with the finer points of all this. Just post twice, we'd love to see them! Did you check out my girls yet?Not the most flattering pic, the harsh Aussie sun drains out their colours/markings, Cleo has a much darker mask than in the pic. I don't have a digi-cam or anything that will do close-ups.Quote:

There is someone on the forum that does sigs and avatars for people if you send him your pics. I'll check out the thread for you and post again.:) TopCat3
Well, I clicked on the link I'd saved in my hotmail for this thread where the guy makes up avatars/sigs but it said "Invalid Thread" I guess the moderators have unravelled that thread!!!;) Ask one of the regulars like Catmandu or someone who regularly posts in COTD, I'm sure they can help you. Sorry I can't do more. TC3Quote:

Hi reikiessence, I was wondering how to do the same thing this morning. I finally just taped the two pictures together(to keep the alined) and scanned both at the same time, as you can see in my post above.Quote:

'I hope this is the info that your looking for and will help...
1. put mouse on the picture you have selected
2.Right click on the picture and in the box that appears, you will left click on "copy"(the box will disappear then)
3. You can then go to website where you are posting and want to upload picture.
4. Choose the spot on the post where you want the picture to go and Right click again. The box will appear and left click on "paste"
Your picture should then be on post where you wanted it to go. Caution-some boards have a size limit and wont allow it if it's too big. If this happens, select your photo editor from your down-drop menu, then select a photo editing program to downsize your photo. Then click "send now"
I hope this makes sence to you and it works. If not I'll ask my husband for all his info he can find.
Good Luck!
Jenn
Thanks for everyones help!! My partner has now showed me how to do it :) love having a engineering student as a partner!

If you look back on page 5 on this thread, I've got a black and white picture of my Emma. She's pure white and has green eyes as do all my cats except Oliver(his are orange of course) Emma's mother was a Calico Polydactyl, her sister is a Tortoise Shell, and her brother Bob is a long haired, black with white tuxedo cat, and her other brother is a short haired gray tabby...all from the same litter. Your cat is probably a "Domesticated Long Hair", or not any sort of breed, just a mixture. But a picture would be nice so we could see for sure.
I have two Persian-Himalayans
