I keep telling myself she is just busy with the move and if things were not going well she would have found a way to tell us. No news is good news, right? It will be nice to hear something though....

Nothing yet???
NO nothing yet. It has been 1 week today. Any ideas? Not like her to leave us hanging without a word.
I vote that by late Monday and we hear nothing we pool our
money and hire a P.I....... I am getting kinda worried.
I'm getting concerned myself after trying to think positively (not easy for me to do).
Did you call her cell phone, Sammi?Quote:

And I think we have the name of the place she went to work. Didn't she give us the name when she changed jobs? I'm sure that someone could probably call there and see if she's in.
Aly has been so busy lately, and her posting is sporadic. I'm sure with the move last week (who knows if she even has her internet connection yet), plus work, plus Reese being sick, and her efforts on Chance's behalf, she must be busy and exhausted. Doesn't anyone from the Texas Pet Talk meeting have her number?
Logan
Do you think I should try her cell phone again? Her regular phone # would be changed after the move.
I just think she would have called me back after I left the message (if she even got it) on the cell or got on the internet someplace. Maybe in the morning she will contact us.
I will also try her cell phone tomorrow, and try her new workplace. Knowing Aly, though, she's been so busy she hasn't had time to breathe, never mind contact us! Moving just one person is stressful enough - never mind moving a cat, possibly two dogs, having one being sick and maybe still at the vets, and still being Aly! :)
  Oh, I just wish we would hear something!! But, yes, she is so busy. Good luck, aly. We are all thinking about you!!
RELEASE THE HOUNDS!!!
No, wait a minute---don't do that...they'd find Aly before we would and she'd be frantic to catch them! ;)
Miz Alyson where iz you?!
I called and left a message on Aly's cell phone, but in case the phone itself got lost in the shuffle of the move, I'm gonna call her workplace tomorrow - they're closed on Mondays - and if THEY haven't heard from her, I'm gonna call the only other person with her last name in Austin. That'll teach her to leave us all worried, then not touch back with us!
Thanks, Karen!
Thanks Karen, We must not worry.........
Probably just so busy. Thanks, Karen. Will be waiting ...
boy do i hate suspence. it always manages to eat me alive:eek: good luck and dont worry aly, all ur good deeds wont go unoticed.:)
Aly.... I hope all is well!!! We worry ya know!
Shelter hours are 3-7 pm, so they aren't open yet, (I called just in case somebody'd answer!) but I'm calling at 3 pm (Texas-time) sharp!
I'm on pins and needles!! (saying to myself...she's ok, just busy...)
Not till 3:PM !!! We have to wait that long? Today I'm worried. Thank you again Karen - catch you soon after 3.
Hey guys. I'm here and okay now. Sorry to leave you all worried :( I will come back soon and explain everything (be back in an hour or less)
(Relief) Glad to hear from you, Aly! We were getting worried about you :)
Whew!!! Glad you're ok.
Good to hear you're okay Aly! :)
I'm sorry to worry you all. Thanks Mollie and Karen for calling me. I just got the messages today. Basically what happened was last Monday when I was up early with only 5 hours of sleep from the whole weekend put together, I checked my cell phone messages and there was a message making sure I was at the shelter (even though I dont work Monday mornings) because animal control was on their way to pick up Chance. I got so mad because they made me believe we were going to keep him afterall and because I had left a note for the morning person saying I'd be by on Monday morning to pick him up and take him to my vet. So I raced over to the shelter and by the time I got there he was gone. Meanwhile the movers showed up at my apartment but I wasn't there. My mom came into town though so she was able to let them in. I raced to every kill shelter in the area and I couldn't find Chance anywhere so I assumed he was already dead. I was absolutely beside myself with grief and guilt. The rest of the day was sort of a daze. I went into work that evening and Tammy told me Chance's owners had come by Sunday evening and picked him up!!!!! So that catastrophe was finally over but I still had a lot of pent up stress.
Then I thought that Shiloh had run away. I couldn't find her anywhere in my new apartment and it seemed like there were NO hiding places because most everything was still in boxes. We had just been there a few hours and I kept her shut in the bathroom while we were opening the front door a lot. I let her out and she walked around for a little while. Then before I left for work, I went to find her to kiss her goodbye. I looked everywhere like 15 times. Then I completely lost it and was crying so hysterically then fainted. My mom was still there and made me go to the ER. I had to stay a whole day for tests and the whole time I was freaking out about Shiloh. I wouldn't even let my mom stay with me. I made her go back to look for my cat. I wanted to go too but no one would let me :( :( :( When my mom got back to the apartment, she said Shiloh was sitting in the middle of the floor meowing
So I just basically made myself sick to death with stress and emotions and went to stay with my mom for a little while. I am feeling a lot better now and all catastrophes are over with *crosses fingers*
Reece is doing much better. He had gotten into some chocolate covered cherries at my sister's house. That boogar has such a nose for chocolate, its scary. I have everything spic and span at my new place so he can't get into ANYTHING. Hopefully no more midnight emergency room visits for us.
Lolly is doing really well. She was stressed and freaked the day of the move but has adjusted nicely. This week has not been fun for the dogs so I'm going to take them for a couple long days at the park this weekend. Shiloh is doing just fine.
So, phew, I'm back now. Sorry again about the worry.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :D :D :D Laurie
Just reading what happened to you stressed ME out!!! Glad everything is better now. Take it easy and TRY to get some rest.
You shouldn't stress yourself out so bad Aly! It's not good for the body or the mind (as you well know by now:rolleyes: )
Get yourself some rest. I'm glad to know that your ok.
Take Care
Anna
What a releif to hear from you and that your ok! I hope you and your fur kids are all relaxed and de-stressed. Boy, I bet you been getting plenty of lectures - eat right, no stress, get sleep- don't worry! Don't scare us anymore for awhile ok? You thought you could get away from us and skip out - boy were you wrong!
Aly, you really need to take a break!! I'm with Sue, I got stressed just reading your post. I'm glad it all worked out for the best all the way around. I've been thinking of you a lot.
So glad to hear you're okay at last! We KNEW you'd be stressed out and not taking care of YOURSELF!
Here's a few pics of the dogs I took when we went for a long walk in the park:

I agree! I felt stressed just reading your post!! Well, I'm glad to hear that the stress is over & behind you! Does that mean that the owners of Chance took him back for good?? I hope that they will still be able to have a home for him!!!!
Great pictures. Wonderful park. Adorable dogs.
Glad to hear you and your fur-babies have survived all the recent ordeals of moving and such. The park pictures are beautiful! Relax and take care of yourself!
Oh Aly, I'm glad you included the walk in the park pictures as they were so calming after all the news of what you've been through. You are just going to have to do better in taking care of yourself and limiting the number of things that you take on. You are young now and you can recoup, but stress will wear you down if you don't find a way to minimize it.
Aly, I'm so glad that you're okay but please try to relax and stop stressing yourself out so much. I'm so glad to hear that Chance's family found him and that Reece is doing better. Now please take better care of yourself and get more sleep too. Your animals need you to be healthy so you can take good care of them.
Glad to hear you are ok, Aly!
I agree. The pics were wonderful to help ease the stress, but you are a very important person. I think you need to be easier on yourself because I could not stand something happening to you.Quote:

Those were beautiful pics. It looks like a beautiful park and little Lolly looks so happy and so confindent. Reece is adorable as always :)
Aly please take care of yourself and try to learn to relax more. You can't be any good to Lolly, Reece and Shiloh if you are a bundle of nerves. I will be praying for you.
Glad to hear Chance was rescued before he was PTS.
What a rollar coaster of a day.
I'm happy to hear you are doing better now. The furkids really need you so try not to stress out again.
I'm glad Chance was found by his owners. :)
