I am very glad to hear that Buttons surgery went well and she is still in good spirits, even at the vets.
I will be thinking of you and Buttons until you get her back home with you, so you can get some sleep!! :)

So glad to hear how well the surgery went! Buttons will be back home soon.. welcome home, sweet little girl!
I just now read this post and I am so relieved that Buttons came through the surgery so well. You must feel so much better knowing your sweet kitty is doing better and will be home soon.
Prayers for sweet Buttons and ((hugs)) for you! Give her some kitty kisses from me and the boys, too.:)
Awwww! Purring and making biscuits! The few pics I found of her she is a really sweet faced tabby girl, a nice light brown, and didn't seem at all to mind Scrapster snuggled up against her!
(I love how he was staring at the camera with that 'kitten-nothing-between-the-ears stare!' :D )
Glad she is happy and I hope she can come home soon.
I'm just now seeing this. I'm glad Buttons has pulled through surgery. Here's to a speedy recovery.
Glad to read that Buttons is recovering so quickly, and loving the belly rubs and is making biscuits.
Big hugs and kisses going out to Buttons!
Where was I for this thread? I totally missed it! I don't know how. I'm glad, though, that your vet got the cancer and things are improving for Buttons. Good grief, that had to be a scary time for you! Please give Buttons some belly rubs from me and (((HUGS))) to you and a pat on the back, too, as well as to your vet for a job well done.
I'm glad to read that Button is well, and that were able to visit her.
When will she go home?
Kirsten
:love: Here are some pics of Buttons that I took last night at the Vets..

Oh sweet Buttons! My girlfriend's cat had surgery for cancer in his eye about a year ago and is doing well, too. I'm so happy that things are working out for Buttons and you. :)
She looks calm, cause her Meowmom is holding her!
I hope she is comfy and can come home soon. I guess she is used to seeing mostly out of one eye, so I hope she adjusts okay.
Give her a kiss on her sweet forehead!
WE ARE GLAD TO SEE THAT BUTTONS ISDOING WELL NOW, AND THE PET ANGEL VISITOR SQUAD IS MAKING SURE THAT SHE HAS SOME NICE CARIBBEAN TREATS, AND LOTS OF MEOWS , BARKS AND CHIRPS FROM ALL OF HER MANY VISITORS.:)
AND WE KNOW THAT SHE WILL FEEL 115% BETTER ONCE SHE GOES TO HER FURREVER HOME WITH HER DEAR MEEEOWMIE AND ALL OF HER FRIENDS:love::cool::D:love:
I am just now seeing this thread.... poor sweet Buttons! But now it looks like everything is going much better! Looks like Buttons was glad to have a visit from Meowmom! Gentle kisses from me and the girls here in Indiana.
 Many Thanks All for All the Nice Prayers & Compliments.. Yes we let her out of the pin last night while I was there.. Oh yes Buttons gots plenty of Gentle Kissess & Belly Rubbss.. She got so excited in meowmoms lap that she tincled on me {my pants}.. Hey thats what maching machines are for right.. Oh boy howdy when I got home I got the third degree from the rest of the bunch just a sniffing my pants..
Yes I have called to check on her this morning & she is doing Great.. I am thinking they will let her go home after the weekend.. We want her to heal as much as possible before she has to face the furr purr clann of everyone wanting to sniff her..
So happy to see she is doing well. How long do the sutures stay in? Will she be able to come home for the weekend?
Prayers continue for all of you.
 Many Thanks.. I am going to check today & see what my Vet thinks of Buttons coming home for the weekend.. I have to make sure Buttons is healed enough that one of the other babies at the house dont by accident scratch her.. I have no idea on how long on the sutures.. What you think about 10-15 days or so.. See she just had surgery Wed morning.. So maybe by Labor Day weekend.. Just dont know = but will ask..;)
Many prays that Buttons still continues to heal well ! HUGS & KISSES FOR BUTTONS!
Oh, she looks like she's doing great. So happy to have Meowmom holding her again! And the first of the closeup pictures with her tongue sticking out a little is so cute.
Gentle pets and head-bumps to you, Buttons.
Love from brother-in-law Elmer and Pat and the rest of the gang..
 Yes that picture of her tongue was when she was in my lap & she was trying to lick the camera while I snapped the picture.. Did you notice the yellow wrap bandage that she took off of the leg where her IV Catheter was.. Buttons had already pulled off two other wraps..
When Chrissy had her eye surgery they removed the stitches after 10 days, so you should be able to get it done at the end of next week.
I am glad that Buttons is doing so well :)
Hurray for Buttons, may you have a Happy Reunion this weekend.
:)
Helene, I think you could TRY bringing her home...the vet knows you are an extraordinary cat mom. Then you could see if the others try to play with her a little too soon.
Of course, if Buttons is on really neat painkillers, SHE may start playing with THEM! :D;)
She looks great.:) Hopefully she'll be able to come home this weekend. You may just have to keep her separated from the rest of the gang until her stitches are taken out or until she's healed up more. Please continue to keep us updated about her.:)
I'm sorry that I didn't see this thread until now but I'm sending my best wishes to you and beautiful Buttons. I'm guessing that she must feel a whole bunch better with the pressure relieved that she must have been experiencing before the rupture. She looks great in the pics and hearing that she is taking her bandages off sounds like she is feeling pretty good! :)
You are taking wonderful care of her. Her soft hippo stuffie sounds very sweet! I'm sure she appreciated having that with her at the hospital.
She will be on cloud nine when she is back home with you and able to snuggle up in bed. Hope that day comes soon for both of you. :)
Get well soon Buttons, and well done for being so good through your surgery. One eye is okay, hey you have a spare one anyway ;)
So what you think of her already being home for the weekend with all the other babies?? Do you think her 3 day healing will be enough for her to start being around other babies??
They actually released Chrissy the same day as her surgery. I was told to keep an e-collar on her and try to keep her as quiet as possible  (yeah right, she was 6 months old at the time). Well the collar lastest about a 1/2 hour and from the way she bounced around you would never have known that she had surgery. I did have some pain meds for her, but she just seemed so happy to be feeling better that she just got right back into the swing of things with the rest of the furry ones.
Buttons will do perfectly fine when she gets home. The other cats may sniff her but I suspect they will leave her alone for awhile (at least that is what mine did).
Hey Buttons, ask your mom to buy you a pirate's eyeflap- thta will be so cool and the other kitties will envy you;)
One can see even now how cute you are ;)
Good idea! :)Quote:
