You have no idea how much fun it is to have a Pet Talk meeting - making new friends and talking lots and lots about our kitties.
With or without wine it was a wonderful evening. (wine? - and who am I kidding?):D
So glad to hear Barbara and Seigmar returned home on time and safely.
Isn't it sad that we need a vacation to rest after our vacations? But long flights home are very tiring.
Slick has some incredible pictures - and I have some as well - I have to wait until I get home to download mine.
We are just going to have to create a Camp Pet Talk, so more of us can get together at one time.

When Barbara and Siegmar first arrived at my place, Max had to check out the goods thoroughly.
Barbara brought some of that addicting Vitamin paste for Max which he just loves. He gets a little bit once a week at a treat. Sorry don't have any pictures of that. Barbara also brought me a gift too....some salad tossers in the shape of bear claws. They are awesome.

The next morning Gini and I met Barbara and Siegmar for breakfast. It was the last day of their tour and the day they flew home. They shared many pictures of Tigris and Filou with us. It felt felt like I was right there.

After breakfast they packed their rental car and drove off to the airport. I can tell you that it broke my heart to see them go. :( We only shared one evening and one morning with them and it wasn't nearly enough. Thank you both for the wonderful hugs and for sharing part of your journey with me.

Gini stayed with me for a few more days after Barbara and Siegmar left and apparently dear little Max didn't want Gini to be doing any packing to leave any time soon. :D

Gini and I went whale watching and saw a lot of transient whales. It was my first time whale watching and it blew me away. I wasn't expecting it to be quite so emotional.

This guy came up really close to the boat. It's so hard to capture good pictures. I clicked and clicked but only came up with a few good ones.
Gini left to go home on August 1st. It was truly a wonderful visit and to get to know such warm people. I'll never forget this vacation. :love:

We'll definitely have to think about a meeting in the east - can't wait to get my hands on your gorgeous kitties (especially Steve ;)); I have tentatively planned a trip to Toronto in April 2009 - definitely a possibility :cool: May have to talk Slick into coming with me ;):p:)
Great pictures, Slick! And I have to say, you look absolutely fabulous -- not only are you physically gorgeous, you just seem to radiate absolute HAPPINESS -- you are GLOWING! I'm so glad to see these pics of you! It warms my heart.

Aaawwww- I wanted to post my pics yesterday but had to de-install and re-install Siegmar's CD burner which broke down and he cannot live without it.
These pics are fantastic- they reflect so much what a wonderful time we had. I have a very good portrait of Slick so stay tuned.

And Gini- that was some whale watching! I saw humpbacks so far and grey whales but of course I want to see some Orcas and you saw them that close. Awesome!

The whale watching must have been awesome, I would have loved to see them that close - I almost could have, as recently, a whale was spotted straying around in the waters around Denmark.

Sometimes when you are in the middle of a wonderful event, you don't fully appreciate it at the moment. Now, Barbara and Siegmar are back in Germany, we have left Slick in Canada and I am back home in California.
And a breakfast has become a very dear memory spent with some pretty wonderful people.
I feel very fortunate to have been able to spend time with Slick and Max - oh that Max is just a little walking doll. And to be able to share in our great dinner together - these are memories that I will always treasure.
I promise next weekend. And yes Siegmar's best pics will be on good old analog film:(
I must say there was never a person I met via Pet Talk whom when I met him/her didn't seem like an old and very good friend:) Same this time. We all have so much to share that time just flies when we're together.
That's OK Siegmar - we know the best is yet to come;) This just means we have something special to look forward to next weekend - a real treat:DQuote:

Let's start with our visit with Bengalz. Eve was a perfect host and made sure the bed was made really well. You can see that Eve is a pretty pretty petite- just like her mom ;)
Now lets go on a week when we came back after having been to Vancouver Island and went to visit Slick and Max and Gini :)

Alec will be so impressed that you took a photo especially for him. Those cups look positively tasteful – a step up from some of the horrors he seems to have collected. Although he does have nice trophy from a Jaguar track day he once got as a present – the day, not the trophy. :p

It was born in Vancouver/New Westminster. Then it migrated to Southern California and caused great embarrassment at the airport.
It LOVED Southern California and went to live with Richard.
