I was just teasing with you. I make typos like that all the time. I just thought it was funny with the car you were showing.

Smart Car Specs
Quote:
The Smart comes in three major models: the Pure, the Pulse, and the Passion. Each becomes more expensive with more features and options added, and is more luxurious. The Pure is the most basic of the models. This entry-level model is the most economical and is mostly intended for use within the inner city or for short trips. It contains a solid roof and steel wheels with silica energy saving tires. Its engine is 45 horsepower and gets 56 miles per gallon. Unfortunately this model does not have air conditioning or fog lights. Options for the Pure are alloy wheels, fog lights, air conditioning, fully automatic gearbox, navigation system, side air bags, velour carpet mats, and CD player. The Pure is available in Left Hand Drive and Right Hand Drive.
The Pulse has a more powerful engine. Its intended use is for out of town journeys. It has a 'Softip' sequential 6 speed manual gearbox that is clutch-less. The engine is 62 horsepower and on this model the "sportline" alloy wheels are standard. Leather interior and fog lights are also standard on this model. In addition, the glass roof lets a healthy amount of sunlight in. This one's only available in Left Hand Drive though.
The most luxurious model is the Passion. It has the same engine as the Pulse, but it has "Softouch" sequential 6-speed gearbox that can be switched to either automatic or manual. It also has digital gear display like the Pulse. The Passion has a rear windshield heater and wiper, a tinted glass roof, keyless entry, luggage compartment cover and leather steering wheel and gearshift. The Passion has 54 horsepower engine and can get up to 60 miles per gallon on unleaded fuel. It has the same options as the Pure and Pulse (CD, navigation system, side airbags, velour carpet mats). The Passion also comes in a convertible type with a removable top. In my opinion, the coolest thing about this car is that it has 9 body panels made out of a polycarbonate, that can be changed in under an hour to give the car a whole new look. A whole list of colors are available, such as Jack Black, Lite White, Aqua Vanilla, Phat Red, True Blue Metallic, Bay Grey Metallic, Numeric Blue, River Silver Metallic, and Stream Green Metallic. You could drive to work in classy Jack Black but then at night hit the town in wild River Silver Metallic or sexy Phat Red. They also make great company vehicles because a company logo or image can be put onto the side of the cars. Not only that, a diesel version became available this March.

Quote:
The Peel P50 was a three-wheeled microcar manufactured in 1963 and 1964 by the Manx Peel Engineering Company, retailing for £199 when new.[1] It was designed as a town car and was advertised as capable of seating "one adult and a shopping bag."
Quote:
The makers claimed it was capable of an impressive 100 UK MPG (2.8L/100km, 83 US MPG).[1] Despite its diminutive stature, the Peel P50 is street-legal in the UK.

This is about 10 minutes long but a real hoot!
My dad had one of these:

Dodge Aries....I always hated that thing. Then I saw this video, and couldn't stop giggling...

I was just reminded of the stupidest car accessory that I have ever seen.
Years ago NASCAR had a car that had this huge spoiler on the rear trunk, I want to say it was a Roadrunner, the car was raced with this HUGE thing on it and I just laughed when i saw it again recently. The car itself was long and boxy looking-the spoiler made it look really dumb.
I remember seeing people on the street with the same setup and laughing....
I'll try to find a picture of it....:)

The 1970 Plymouth Superbird.
I was wrong, Plymouth, the sister company to Dodge, was the one that produced the car.
Yeah, the nose and spoilers on those cars looked like hell...
But they set speed and qualifying records all over NASCAR.
Rule one of engineering..........
If it's stupid and it works?
It ain't stupid.
I forgot about the Aztek. *Holds nose*.:D:p
If a car can get a reaction from the people who don't like it, what does it say for the people who DID buy one!
The next thing I hate the most about cars is the spelling/or made up names-
Impreza? Catera? When I see a name like that I always think of the cop that has to write it on a ticket.
:o I like the Aztek too.
MY CAR!
a 93' red honda civic:
It's not all one color, but has a black hood as a replacement.

Does anyone remember the VW Beetles that were all different colors? I remember seeing a few in the mid 1990s, each part was a different color, mostly primary colors. I liked them but most of you would probably hate them.
Anything Holden, great Aussie icon my butt :p.

That's got the same general look of the Chevrolet BelAir!
I had never heard of a Holden until today. I like old.:)
Ok, these suckers are just odd. They're so small! I mean, my Versa is small, and not at all cute either, lol, but I'd be afraid to drive in one of these.Quote:
I love the Smart Cars - they are SOOO cute! And, apparently, quite durable.

I was in DC about 2 months ago, and they have them there too, the Smart Cars that is, and you can rent them by the hour, and drop them off at different sites. That's a neat concept.
OMG... they are hideous, aren't they???
Although, they remind me of an overgrown version of a Honda CRX, which I happen to still love, lol.
I must have a thing for small, round and odd looking cars. I loved Gremlins, Pacers, CRXs... owned a VW Golf and a GTI. Now a Nissan Versa. LOL! They are all weird looking little round/fat cars!
This is my ugly car... really, it is ugly. Mine has a "spoiler" of sorts on the back hatch, not sure why, but oh well. Can't find a stock pic with one of those on it. It's this gray blah color too.
Ugh.
Can't wait to trade it in.
Only decent things are that it is bluetooth ready, has a sun roof, AC and get good mileage. It's got a CVT transmission, so it's not technically auto or manual. Just weird, like the rest of the car.
I have a friend that has the black version of that car. It's the hatchback with the spoiler. Theirs is manual though. My friend's mom bought the silver sedan one earlier this week.
I have a Mitsubishi Galant. I always thought the newest style of them was sort of ugly. I bought one anyway. LOL I've gotten more compliments on the look of the car than any other car I've ever owned. Too each his own I guess. It has sort of grown on me now I guess. The back end is what looks funniest to me. It isn't the ugliest car ever though.

This isn't mine. It's a picture of one like mine I found on ebay. I have alloy wheels and that does help some. Mitsubishi has the new 2009 design on their webpage.
LO!
I bring you the Oscar Mayer Weiner Mobile!:)
