Thanks for the update. Feel better Kirsten!! :)
Thinking of Kirsten and hoping that she has a peaceful night of rest! (((Kirsten)))
Prayers on the way from me. All the kitties have paws crossed for a quick recovery for her and good results too!!!
:) Prayers for a clear biospy. Hope she's feeling better soon. Thanks for the update!
Thanks for the update. Glad the surgery is now over.
Feel better soon Kirsten.
Yay! I'm glad the surgery is done and over with and we know that it went very well. I can see why Kirsten wouldn't want to stay in a hospital for 4 days, I find hospitals so depressing and I don't like their food.
Many prayers from me, the paws, scales, and hooves.
Thanks so much for taking the time to give us updates!
Prayers for Kirsten, and for a good biopsy result.
Glad all went wel, but won't stop thinking and praying until those results come in.
When Kirsten can see this, I borrowed this post from another pre-surgery person who had to fast.... :)
Quote:
My surgery is on Thursday afternoon at 4:30 and I was instructed to begin a clear liquid diet today. As of 5:30 pm, I have ingested only 705 calories. I have never before in my life not eaten and have learned some interesting things:
* Fruit juices have A LOT more calories in them than you think! Check the labels. If you're trying to lose weight, cut out fruit juice from your diet.
* Don't stray far from a bathroom. You will have to pee a ridiculous number of times during the day. I've already given up on wearing shorts today. I might just ditch the undies tomorrow too.
* The beginning of the day was the worst, as yesterday's solids worked their way out and weren't being replaced by any new solids.
* You don't get quite as hungry as you think you will. I mean, don't get me wrong -- you're hungry -- but it's not agony.
* Microwaved chicken broth isn't half bad -- even better, it fills you up better than anything else on the menu. It tastes better than it smells.
* Putting lemonade in iced tea isn't the same as putting lemon juice and Splenda in iced tea. It's more tart and less sweet.
* You don't realize until you can't eat how many times during the day you think about food!
For the record, my diet today and tomorrow is limited to: water, coffee, tea, soda, clear juices (like white cranberry juice, white grape juice, apple juice, grapefruit juice, etc.), chicken or beef broth, popsicles (not red), italian ice (not red), jello (without fruit), salt, pepper & sugar. Not allowed is: milk, cream, milkshakes, orange juice, tomato juice, any soup other than clear broth, oatmeal/cream of wheat, and obviously any solid food.
Can't wait to see if I'll be able to sleep through the night tonight. At this rate, I think I'll be too hungry, so will have to get up for snacks during the night. By Thursday afternoon, I ought to be good and cranky for the hospital staff!
So glad the surgery is over, Kirsten!
Prayers and good wishes that all is well.
Hugs and purrs,
Pat and cats

The best thing is that the surgery is over, over, over! I know the recovery won't be any fun but it still has to better than have to worry about that surgery coming up. Of course we are still holding our breath until those lab results come in but the good news is on a roll.
Just spoke to Kirsten. She's feeling better today :) ...but still no biopsy results.
Prayers and positive thoughts on the way for you Kirsten that the results are good and very happy to hear that you are feeling better today. :)
Thanks for the update. Tell Kirsten that we are all praying and thinking about her....here's hoping that no news is good news.
Good to hear :)
I hope all other outcome is nicely negative ;)
Kirsten got the biopsy results today: 3 ovarian tumors, but not cancerous yet. They were removed in time :) They were so-called borderline tumors.
Thank you so much for letting us know. I am pleased that Kirsten has this good news. Now she can concentrate on getting better. :)
