Prayers for Joseph and reassurances for you. It is quite easy to not realize a cat is sick. VERY EASY. And if you were truly such a bad guardian, Joseph would not be receiving treatment riht now. But he is in surgery and he will be fine with no teeth.
-
Just popping in for an update and to let you know I'm thinking about you Gary.
-
Lots of prayers and hugs to you and Joseph. No way are you a bad purrent, Gary. If not for you, so many kitties would be homeless, hungry, cold, and lonely. You are their savior!
Please keep us posted on Joseph's condition; if it's truly his teeth, he can manage without them (lots of humans do, too).

Thoughts and prayers on the way for Joseph!
Gary, you are wonderful to your cats! They are mighty lucky to have you, and like the others said, they are masters at hiding when they are ill.
He'll come home to you. He may need mushy food for a while, but he'll be home!

Gary!! we all know that cats can hide an illness until things are really bad, and the fact that it was Jospeh's teeth, I doubt if you could even take a look in his mouth!!! Barry brushes the cats' teeth and it is a battle!!! PRAYERS for Jospeh and you, too....please do not be so hard on yourself...
-
Please don't blame yourself! It's not your fault. Cats always hide their sickness. You are great at taking care of your kitties. Prayers are coming your way!

I've been having network problems all day so I'm way behind on all the PT stuff. Hey Gary, c'mon! You took Joseph in the second you saw that something was wrong. We can't read our cats' minds; they're so good at disguising their illnesses that sometimes we don't notice until something is seriously wrong. You're not a fool; you're human. And Joseph is a wily cat like all cats; he hates letting it be seen that he's sick. Ease up on yourself. All the PTers are praying for you and Joseph.
-
We are all praying for Joseph and for you too, Gary. Joseph will do fine without teeth.
You are a wonderful cat dad. Where would Joseph, and all the other Found Cats and Porch Cats and Poofed Cats, be if you hadn't welcomed them into the Hotel and your life and your love?
I want to echo what everyone else is saying: Cats are VERY GOOD at not letting us know what is really going on with them. And once you realized that something was not right, you took him straight to the vet's. What more could you, or anyone, have done?
We are sending prayers and good energies and hugs and purrs,
Pat, Peony, Sydney, Poppy, Elmer, and Priscilla Angel who is keeping Joseph company
