Just curious.

It said something like, "hey you broke the record....See you when you hit 800."
Love it! :D
The IRS has put out a press release saying that Matt Murphy, the guy that ended up with the BB ball has to pay
210,000 dollars even if he does not sell it.
They claim that the 12 dollars baseball is earned income and that because of the expected price of 600,000 dollars, Murphy is in the hole for that amount for being the owner.
Three words for Mr. Murphy.
Stay in Australia.
Sell the ball, Tell the IRS to kiss you below the belt-either side-and buy some beer, shrimp and a barby, Find a nice Sheila, thatched hut near the Great Barrier Reef and don't look back.
(sigh) the good baseball players wearing Chicago Cubs uniforms have all left and our lovable losers are back ... they've lost 3-in-a-row to Houston ... oh, well, it was fun while it lasted.
Who is Rick Ankiel and what does he want from us? :D
I just figured it out,.
Notice that as he got closer to the HR record that Barry Bonds lost the gaudy earring.
"Come on Barry, lose the earring, No one will accept a home run champ with a diamond in his ear."
I USED to enjoy watching the Little League World Series on the tube.
God, after a few games I am no longer interested.
Between the showboating, the parents in the stands and the all the other
commercialism the have built into the games-
It's a shame. It was a series to watch...Now the kids are all hyped up and the are really disrespectful to each other and the game.
Shoot. :(
I feel so sorry for some of the kids in LL.
I mean it's supposed to be for fun and parents go and ruin it.

GO, CUBS!
Three 7:05 PM games against Milwaukee. The first in the series starts in half an hour. Milwaukee is a game and a half back, but the Cardinals are only two back. Unfortunately, they lost a couple of winnable games to Arizona over the weekend. It looks like tonight's game won't be affected by rain. It's supposed to rain here all day tomorrow and then be fine on Thursday.
Meanwhile, down on the South Side, the Sox are having a heartbreaker of a season. It stinks to see them keep losing like this.
Plus the Yanks and Bosox tonight!Quote:

Did you see the game between the Cubs and the L.A. Dodgers yesterday ... L.A. 11, Cubs 3. Does that count as high-scoring with you? When I was in high school they played one where they scored 22, but they lost because the opponent scored 23! Every couple of seasons, we sometimes see that one on late night TV during the off-season.Quote:

A Cubs fan on the edge of her seat here ... I know not to get my hopes up because these are the Cubs we're talking about here (remember the Steve Bartman ball incident from a few years ago?). But they are doing really well for a change.
Go, Cubs, Go!
And on the South Side ... the Sox have won three of their last 5 and Thome did get his 500th home run. It has been frustrating to watch them this season. They just haven't been able to get consistent success.
Hate the angels, love the tight races and everyone....
Vote to send Barry Bonds home rune breaking baseball to the hall or outer space!

The San Diego Padres got jobbed....
But,what a great game.
Hold on to your hats.....This is gonna be a great baseball for the next few weeks.

Go Cubs, Sox and baseball fans.
My current hopes for the playoffs?
Boston Red Sox vs. Philadelphia Phillies.
Why?
I dearly want to see Brett Meyers (the wife beater) go back to Fenway so he can get booed off of the field. (If it does happen he's going to need a police escort around town. The Red Sox have gotten rid of at least two players for similar problems, and the fans forced the team's hand on the issue)
I love what Holliday, the player who scored the winning run in last night's game said today..
I don't remember if I touched home, the ump said I did....
Which really means....I was too busy bouncing my face through the batter's box to notice!
Playoffs, playoffs!
SOX!
Who are the idiots in the box seats behind the plate in Arizona?
Yay Red Sox!

GO DIAMONDBACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:D
OUCH!!
Game one last night hurt for an Indian's fan like myself.
:(
Let us lick our wounds and try, try again tonight!
(sigh) the guys in Cubs uniforms who have been playing really well all season left right before the division series ... and were replaced by our lovable losers. Maybe next year.
Oh no!Quote:

As for the Cubs.
Remember that everyone else's season ended....they got into the playoffs!
Chief Wahoo says,
We wait many moons for playoffs, only one game! :D
I love Stephen King but, what's with the book reading at the park?
I know he suffers from macular degeneration, so he may be listening more than watching, as he may not be able to see much of the action on the field.Quote:

NO, NO, NOT ERIC GAGNE!!
The Yankees really screwed Joe Torre.

Isn't the Yellow Line a home run?
Ayup, they did. I don't exactly feel sorry for him, it's not like he didn't make enough to retire comfortably on in his years with them, but George Steinbrenner is also not the easiest guy to work for, and he knew that going in.
Go Red Sox!
That was dirty pool-.Getting a guy's old G-friend to sing at the game you are pitching......
Should old aquaintance be forgot?
----------------------
Gosh all those years of playoffs - I'd hate to be the next Yank's coach.
Let me understand....
Does the stah of the World Series get a cah should he hit some balls out of the pahk?
-----------
Isn't it extra if you hit the giant bottle of Coke with a home run ball?
Looks like after tonight there are only three games left, enjoy!
13 - 1.
Not a bad way to begin. Howevah, one does not look too fah ahead. One game at a time; one at a time.
Looks like the the cah is out of pahk,
The stahs on the Sox are driving for a world championship.
But looking that fah into the fuhchar
We could jinx or mahr them.
I tried.
Sox win 4-3.
MVP is Mike Lowell, although I think a good case could be made for either Jacoby Ellsbury or Jonathan Papelbon.
I'm very happy.
Happy Happy Happy!
So many could be MVP - it really has been a team effort! Good baseball tonight, it was a close one!
