Oh, I see the bears. <3<3<3 :D
There are lots of animals on the cam now which has been pointed over at fields. I think there are wildebeast and antelope, perhaps someone else knows these animals better from a distance and can correct or confirm.
Edited to add they've switched back to the water hole and the wildebeast are all lined up drinking.
It looks so pretty there! It makes me miss summer even more than I already do (I'm so, so sick of snow - I want green grass, birds, etc. again). I've checked it quite often over the past couple days and I've only seen some deer-like animals (yesterday) and birds. Hopefully I'll be able to see some others tonight..
Yay, I saw some of the deer type animals and a turtle! Still waiting on a lion. Oh and bears, would love to see them. Thanks for sharing this Kay, it's addicting! :D
Ok, I see the bear link, they are sleeping! :)
There are three turtles being shown on the edge of the water, sunbathing right now. :D
It's a grassland right now, with the same body of water further in the background...I can barely see it. But there is a herd of antelope type animals between the water and the camera. They're gorgeous. :)
There was just 3 adorable turtles, but now they are moving the cam around.
I was watching it from work yesterday when it was night there and I'm sure I saw a lot of shooting stars. Did others see that?
I'm pretty sure those shooting stars were fireflys! Hehe! :D
I saw a firefly and something moving in the background, though I'm not sure what it was. It looked like night time a moment ago but it is in color now all of a sudden. They must be messing with the settings because they are changing a bunch of things and zooming in and out and stuff. :p
darnet I wish they would hurry and fix it. They are taking forever. I saw the bears and they are sooooooo cute!
That explains it! Thank you. I couldn't imagine so many shooting stars, and I kept thinking of insects but I've always lived in rather cool climates so didn't think of fireflies.Quote:

I saw some wildebeest a couple hours ago, but there's nothing anymore - just the occasional bird.
Oh, yay! There are a lot of those antelope/gazelle creatures right now at the watering hole. Their reflections are beautiful in the water, and the camera keeps zooming in really close. One particular gazelle was trying to nudge a bird off his back, but the bird just kept moving around, just out of reach. The animals are all nuzzling eachother, it's really beautiful. Very peaceful!
**Edited: Two of them were just head butting eachother! Like a play fight, it was so cute!**
Nothing, yet again. :(

still havent seen anything...darn
There are cute little monkies right now. :D
That would have been about 10:15pm my (pacific) time and I can't believe I missed it. I kept checking back but the middle of the day seems to be the time you are least likely to see anything. If I watch at about 6-7:30am their time, about 8pm my time, I'm most likely to see something. Yesterday it was birds and the day before it was antelope and wildebeest. I thought now would be a good time since it's sunset there, but it's very quiet.Quote:

I keep missing the larger animals too. Been seeing a lot of ducks during the day and nothing at night. Right now the moon is reflected in the pond. Kind of pretty. :)
Right now the cam is either not working or there is an elephant standing in front of it.
It's working for me.
I closed and re-opened; it's now working for me. Does anyone else find the noise of the insects deafening? Even with the volume turned down below mid-way, I find it irritating after a short time. It would take me a long time to fall asleep through all the racket.
I actually find it calming. But then I grew up in the country where crickets and tree frogs were abundant.
I'd sleep with my windows open in the summer. I would find it hard to sleep in the winter because it was so quiet. :)
Gah! That camera lurched to the left and my heart just about skipped a beat. No animals though.
They then zoomed in on the moon reflection and back out.
Is that camera automated or does someone man it at all times?
It's amazing to see how fast the earth is really rotating. The moon's reflection moved from the lower portion of the pond to the upper portion in about an hour. The moon itself is just now coming into camera view. :)
It's focused on a bush right now.. there's something moving behind it near the top. Can't make it out.
EDIT: There's some huge ducks at the watering hole right now!
I like this, its fun to watch. All I've seen is birds.
Quick question...I paused the feed and hit "Print Screen" to try and copy the image onto paint, save it, and show you guys. But the image from the feed just shows up blank? How can I get around that? If you get what I mean..
Good question Areias, I tried the same thing, except instead of blank screen it was actually live and moving. I took pictures from my camera of the duck so there kind of blurry.

Good idea...maybe if someone sees something interesting and has a camera handy, they can take pics for us? :D I clicked on it at one point and it was a wildabeast or something...but then it panned to a duck again! :(Quote:

10:18 a.m. EST.. Herd of Wildebeast on right now!
Keeping camera and a pen and paper near the computer. I just took a picture of some wildebeast grazing. I am recording the time I take the pic but it is in Africa.
The wildebeast went on alert and the camera panned to the right. Something small walked by... looks like it was a hyena.
Those wildebeests are so pretty, I had only seen birds until now.
I took a few pics of them, I'll post them in a second.
Now we have an ?antelope with a bird on its head that won't get off.
I saw the wildebeest...now I see the antelope...but I swear to god it just sounded like one of those birds was dying. :p
LOL! I know! I heard the bird making a racket, opened up the browser and saw the antelope. :D
Did you see a couple of the young male antelope play-fighting? It looks like they have gone a way for the night.
I got to see the antelope, it was SO cute! Now I see the wildebeests again.
There's a wildebeast right now!!
