I don't visit the cat side often, but when I do, new pictures of Nakita were always some of my favorites. She was such a beauty and had such stunning presence. I was shicked to hear the news when Staci sent me a text this afternoon.

Prayers and tears for you at this time. I'm so, so sorry. Nakita will never be forgotten. Truly one of God's most beautiful creatures.

I've been reading all the wonderful sentiments and trying to make sense of this loss. But this is truly tragic. Nakita was your one and ONLY! Your heart and soul! She was just a BABY!! This is so unfair. :( :(
Only God knows why He needed her more than her human family, but that cannot comfort grieving hearts.
No one has ever tried harder to make their baby well, and STILL she had to leave. You have every right to be angry and crushed.
But we who have lost our precious ones, to old age or sickness, are here with you. We grieve with you. We pray for the hurt to go away. We wish you comfort in your loneliness. And we hope one day you will feel the need to love another. Until that day, Nakita shall watch over you, her spirit will never leave your hearts.
I cannot begin to express to you how very sorry that I am you had to suffer this huge loss.

I, too have gone back to read all the comments here. When I first heard of little Emerald Eyes my eyes filled up with tears. Yes, we all grieve with you. :(
Today I was at the computer and Max was in his regular spot right in front of the keyboard. He knows that in that spot he will get hugs and kisses and I performed my duty as assigned. When I was hugging him, I thought about Max being 13 and how much longer would I have him. I cried into his fur and the hurt overwhelmed me. I know just how you feel.
Kass, I don't know what else to say except I know what you are going through and I understand the void that exists. You and Rob are in my prayers and I wish I could wave a magic wand and make the pain go away. Cherish the memories and know that those emerald eyes will be with you always.

OMG I feel so bad right now I can't stop crying I am complete shock I am soooooo So sorry for you loss. I can't figure out why such a beautiful little princess would have to go this way. I am at a loss for words right now I am just upset that I didn't get online sooner.......I can't imagine the pain the two of you are going threw right now....... I'm so sorry that Nakita has gone on to the other side. She was a beautiful kitty. Through your pain and grief try to remember that she is alright now, healed to the beautiful girl she was before this awful illness struck her. We don't know why these things happen, and I don't believe that God is responsible because he wanted another little kitty angel. Do you remember Rabbi Kushner who wrote "When Bad Things Happen to Good People"? He said that there is sickness and bad things in the world and it is just because we are human, or feline in this case, and are a part of the world that bad things befall us. The best - like Nakita - suffer along with the worst. Sometimes there just isn't a reason, or any meaning, for the things that cause us so much pain. So love Nakita's memory and believe you will see her again One Fine Day.

I am so shocked at this :( I actually have no words right now, as I sit here not knowing exactly what to say :( other than I am so sorry this happened to precious little Nakita
Since the loss of my five precious babies I have not been able to visit the memorial section of PT. I haven't even posted a goodbye thread to them because I just haven't been able to bring myself to do it. I simply could not let my tears and the pain that this brought back to me keep me from saying goodbye to Nakita.
I'm shocked and saddened beyond belief. :( She truly was too beautiful and fragile for this world.
I know all the words we say offer support but they can not ease the pain you are feeling. Only in time will it become a little more bearable but you will never forget or stop missing your beautiful little girl. Neither will we for there will never be another Emerald Green eyed beauty like Nakita. She will live on in many of our memories and hearts forever.

Oh Kass, honey, I am crying as I just read through all of your last thread. I had no idea that things had gotten so bad for dear Nakita! I am just in shock and brokenhearted for you and Rob!!! :( I know that you are in a terrible grieving period right now, but please know that you fought a long hard battle for your beautiful girl! You didn't give up on her and you did all that was humanly possible to help her! I think beautiful Nakita was just too special for this world! No doubt she is the most beautiful kitty Angel with those gorgeous emerald eyes!

Kass and Rob, we feel your pain, Nakita was loved by many here.
She was a unique beauty, a one-of-a-kind kitty, a very special girl whose time on earth was way too short.
I know you did all that you could to try to make her well again.
Just know that we are all here for you when you need us most.

Oh no...no....no.... not sweet little Nakita! I am so sorry to hear of her passing. How hard this must be for you. I wish that I had some words of wisdom to share, something that will make you feel better. I can tell you, though, that she knew a wonderful life, full of love and happiness. She was such a gorgeous furbaby.... and those mesmerizing eyes! So beautiful!
