You're a peach :)
Phred just called!!! Ralph talked to him and said he seemed in good spirits. Pat and Joan were there visiting and the nurse was giving the stink eye,so he didn't get to talk real long, but he was making jokes and plan brunch for morning!
Lots more prayers for a successful implant of the zapper box tomorrow!
Our prayers are being sent Phreds way!!!!!
Just spoke to him, he's got Mr. Bear beside him, and will take him with him tomorrow for the procedure, so he's got a bit of Pet Talk with him!

I'm on the phone with the patient right now and he seems full of pi$$ and vinegar!
He said he felt like $hi* but would live through it! But he has said that all along!
Had a bit of adventure - throughout the day but all in all is no worse for wear.
He is to have the pacer put in 9:30 am Ohio time (I should say per this drs time - she isn't known to be on time).
Yes Mr. Bear is along for the ride.
well as I'm talking with him I am reading this thread and am seeing that he has already spoken to a few PT'ers today! :)
As always Phred, you're in my thoughts and prayers. I'm always on your team buddy!! Best wishes for a speedy recovery and I hope you're as good as new asap!! Thanks Staci--you're a doll to keep us posted :)

Now, it's time to send Phred extra positive, healing thoughts - he should be getting his pacemaker put in right about now.
All my best wishes and tons of positive thoughts that all goes well! :)
Phred, you're one of a kind and very loved! Get better!
I think this may be the place where we should direct all of our good wishes (the white buildings). Laurie will know, I'm sure.

surgery & quick recovery.
Prayers for Phred
and more prayers on the way to phred.....
I just got off the phone with the patient.
He sounds groggy and is easily amused. He thinks he's alive. :p
He has to sit and not move for 4 hours with a 5 pound weight on his chest.
He seems in good spirits.
He also wanted me to tell everyone not to send anymore emails today. They only get delivered once a day and those sent today he won't get until tomorrow and if any are delivered after he leaves they are thrown away.
OOPS! Sorry already sent an email earlier. Maybe he will get it before he leaves tomorrow.
WOW sitting still for 4 hours would be hard for me to do!!!
Glad to hear his humor is still with him; that will help the time pass!!!
Way to go Phred!!! :D
Thanks for the update, Staci. Please send our love to him when you talk with him next time. :)
A heavy weight off my chest and 5 pounds on Phred! I'm so relieved that it went well ... it must have, since he's in a good spirit! :) I'm sure he'll have a lot to read while he's sitting there for 4 hours - and I bet that's how the nurses will prefer him to spend the time. ;)
Lots of good wishes!!
Thanks for the update.
Oh good, glad you got to speak to him. Is the loud roommate gone?
This is such good news. They have to put a weight on him to hold him down.........otherwise he would be tramping the halls with Mr. Bear.
I know that we are all piling him up with healing vibrations too.
He never mentioned a room mate so I'm not sure.Quote:

Thanks so much for the uppydate Staci. Four hours with five pounds??? Wonder what that is for?? Guess I'll have to do some internet searching...that is, if my internet stays up. You are still in my daily prayers, Phred.
slick
xoxoxo
Yes, thank you, Staci. It is good to get a progress report. I'm just so glad that something has been done to try to help him feel more normal. Those four hours are almost up too. Then there will be no holding him down. :p
