Bitsy, my pomeranian, hurt her back on Christmas Eve a few years ago. All she was doing was going down a couple steps off our porch. We were so fortunite that she wasn't hurt as badly as she could have been. The best Christmas gift that year was that she was going to be alright and didn't need to stay at the vet's office. She was on meds for a long time after that, but now she's doing great. That day was the first thing I thought of when I first read about Annabelle. I really took Bitsy's health and good fortune for granted. Annabelle's story was a huge eye-opener for me.

I am sorry, I just now was able to read this thread. THANK YOU sooooo much for not putting your little girl down!!!! My baby has the exact same handicap and I actually adopted him after the fact. He is the love of my life! Bailey wears baby diapers as well and LOVES life! We are actually building him a wheelchair today and are almost done just have to run to the store and get a couple more parts. If you would like information on how we made it I'd be happy to get that for you. It only is costing us about $30. or so as opposed to $250 if you buy one. It is soooo easy to make. I think we will have worked on ours for maybe a total of an hour if that. So any help I can give, I am very glad to! I am soooo excited to hear that there's another member on here with the same situation. Of course I am sad that it happened to your little girl but maybe this will be good as we can swap ideas and support eachother. AnnaBelle, you are so lucky to have such a loving mama. I'm glad to hear that you are doing well. Poor girl, who could have guessed that such a small thing sould cause such an extensive injury. :(
